Gamenight: Phillies (24-22) At Nationals (20-26)

Good stat: The last time the Phils were shut out by Tim Redding and the Nationals, they scored eight runs in the next game.
Bad stat: They also gave up seven runs in that next game.
Good stat: Cole Hamels is coming off his first career complete-game shutout., giving up four hits and walking two.
Bad stat: Hamels was the victim in Redding’s first start against the Phils this season.

OK, we’re reaching when Cole Hamels is on the hill. I expect a dominant performance by the entire team tonight. Good pitching, strong hitting, maybe six or seven runs and an easy win. That’s what I expect. Jason Bergmann is on the hill for the Nats — he’s been Myers … no … Eaton bad this season.

Despite saying Jayson Werth was an everyday player, for the second-straight game, Charlie Manuel has put Werth on the bench.

Phillies: Cole Hamels (5-3) 2.89 ERA
Nationals: Jason Bergmann (1-1) 7.45 ERA

Gametime: 7:10 p.m. EST
Weather: 60 degrees, partly cloudy
Lineup: Rollins, Victorino, Utley, Howard, Burrell, Jenkins, Feliz, Ruiz, Hamels

Your gamenight beer: Brewed in nearby Virginia is Spring Brew by Old Dominion Brewing Co. It’s a gentle, fruity beer that is very smooth despite being a double pilsner. For dinner, make yourself some pan-fried noodles with chicken. Enjoy.
