The Phillies greeted the National League with a Coke and a smile yesterday, beating the Braves 8-3 in a solid, if standard win. Kyle Kendrick pitched well enough, the offense hit well enough, the Braves were bad enough.
Tonight Adam Eaton goes for the good guys against Jorge Campillo. It’s the second time this year these two will face off. The Phils scored three runs in 5.1 innings against Campillo, while Eaton gave up three runs, as well, June 8. The Phils won 6-3.
The offense got a boost last night, and I’m especially proud to report Geoff Jenkins had two hits, keeping that elbow low and driving the ball on a line. It would be nice for that to continue. Obviously.
Cole Hamels will start tomorrow. No word yet on who starts Friday against the Mets.

I’d assume this is Ellie, and she probably just had a long day hunting rabbits and fetching things for master. Good dog. Good. Dog. Eat some grilled portobello mushrooms and linguini with this.
