Phillies, Rays Return To Scene Of The Crime – Phillies Nation

Phillies, Rays Return To Scene Of The Crime

It’s the first of two on-deck games against that team the Phillies defeated in the World Series: Phillies vs. Rays tonight. Game time is 7:05 from Citizens Bank Park.

Joe Blanton pitches for the Phillies; he’ll face Scott Kazmir. Blanton defeated the Rays in game four of the ALCS, hitting a home run off Edwin Jackson. Kazmir lost game one against the Phils at Tropicana Field.

It’ll be the first time the Phils take Citizens Bank Park’s field since Oct. 29, 2008. Expect some rowdiness.

I could not, for the life of me, understand why was listing a stolen base for burrell. Is that an indictment of Coste, or did Burrell get rid of the blocks of cement he’s been wearing on his feet in place of cleats?

don’t think they were really expecting him to go and he got a decent jump

nice, Jason Donald with the game winning single!

Exact repeat of the WS game 3. Except Donald knocked it into the completely empty right field.

From the sound of it, it could have been worth 3 runs, or even 4, if they played it out. Nobody even close to the ball up the line.

nobody was close because they only had two outfielders. Awesome game great way to start a season

The standing O for Pat’s first AB was really moving. It made Philadelphia fans look classy.

Tonight was aweseome. Could not believe Pat stole a base! Crowd (at least in the upper deck) was ELECTRIC during the bottom of the 9th. Donald is for sure gonna be a stud. I hope TB finally got the message tonight that the 5 man infield is not a good strategy. It was a great night back. It may sound stupid, but if tonight was any indicator of how this season is going to be, we are in for a hell of a good ride yet again!

Just got back from the game man that was a great night. I’m so glad baseball is back. I was getting tired of not losing my voice at these things. Just have to rest it up for opening night now.
