Phillies Release Scott Nestor

David Murphy reports the Phillies have released Scott Nestor. The right-hander gave up 10 earned runs in five innings for AAA Lehigh Valley and AA Reading this season.

This ironically comes on the same day as the Phils are burned by Wes Helms, who was once rumored in a deal involving Nestor.

I dread to see Wes Helms in the lineup again for Florida. Another one of those ex-mates who has become the newest “Phillie-killer”. Adrenaline was pumping for him last night.

If it’s not Wes Helms then its Rod Barajas…nice to see these guys show up after we get rid of them.
