Phils’ Streak Snapped By Aaron Harang

When was it over? At least not before the game.

The Phillies lost to the Reds, 5-1, but because they were completely befuddled by Aaron Harang. The usual sinkerball pitcher tossed that pitch, but made sure to mix it with high fastballs. Harang was completely on his game, only being miffed by a small Phils rally in the third and a Raul Ibanez home run in the fourth.

Jamie Moyer did his part on the other end, handing in a (poorer-quality) quality start of 6 IP, 3 ER, 9 H, but there was no catching Harang’s stuff.

Down 3-1, Chad Durbin entered and allowed two runs. One game he’s good, the next … eh.

The loss snaps the Phillies’ five-game winning streak.
