J.C. Romero and Chad Durbin were both placed on the 15-day disabled list today. Romero has a strained left forearm, while Durbin is suffering from a strained right lat.
Durbin’s has struggled a bit recently, as his July ERA was just under seven. Romero has been a beaut since coming back from his 50-game suspension, allowing just five earned runs over 15 2/3 innings out of the pen. Tyler Walker and Andrew Carpenter were recalled from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to take their respective spots on the roster.
