I see Phillies Nation got a little press on Yahoo. Good work organizing the trip.

It wasn’t all great press but – press none the less. Brian, are you going to respond to this article?
The Nats did not know how to handle the crowd, no doubt about it. Ill prepared (the park anyway), they seem to be making excuses and cannot own up to the fact that there is no draw to see the Nats.
We helped to fill their coffers and I know I would have spent more money if the Nats were stocked better..
What is the authors (the ‘Duk’?) point?

I saw that, too… Washington Post, Yahoo, 97.3… Brian Michael gets around, like a record.

Game was a blast, not getting in to the tailgate due to some lot/parking idiocy… Not so much fun.

No need to respond. It’s really a non-issue.

I’m more surprised Nats fans aren’t outraged at their team taking a 11-1 beating after supposedly improving so much in the off-season. Can you imagine if that outcome happened to us? Fans would be jumping off buildings lamenting a 0-162 season.

The point of the article is that the Nationals front office allowed it to happen… the point of the article is that the Nationals organization is a joke. The didn’t bad mouth Phillies fans… they told the story of how the Nationals allowed the Phillies fans to invade Washington on a day that is supposed to be filled with hope for all fans. Instead, the Nats fans were embarrassed by the likes of Phillies Nation!

The only thing that would be better, would be embarrassing Mets fans by taking over Citi Field. Oh yeah we’re doing that in August!!!!!

    2-0 BABY!!!!!

You stay classy Phillies fans.. while you’re at it why don’t you guys consider getting jobs – seeing as it appears hundreds of you have enough free time to orchestrate the embarrassment of a franchise that couldn’t possibly be more embarrassed. Way to kick ’em when they’re down – pure class, I expect nothing less from Phillies fans day in and day out.

    Cole,

    please you are a fool!

    Look up the word Fan

it stands for fanatical or fanatic

: marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion

    — fanatic noun

    — fa·nat·i·cal·ly fə-ˈna-ti-k(ə-)lē adverb

    — fa·nat·i·cal·ness -kəl-nəs noun

That is exactly what Philly Phans do. Learn to be a fan of something and maybe you will understand!!

    Way to go Nation!!

Cole’s right. We are jerks. We should have taken time off from work, gotten up at 6:00 in the morning, paid about a $100 for a bus and ticket to the game, and then cheered for the Nationals. Couldn’t agree more.
