Get Involved with the Police Athletic League!

Tonight, the Police Athletic League will host its annual PAL Night at the Phillies, presented by Ron & Evie Krancer, featuring the Media Softball Game beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The Media Softball Game, which takes place at Citizens Bank Park prior to the Phillies vs. Dodgers game, is in its 32nd year and matches the Radio/Web team vs. the TV/Newspaper Team. The overall record now stands at 17 wins, 12 losses and 2 ties in favor of the TV/Newspaper team.

Our own Pat Gallen of Phillies Nation and 97.3 ESPN FM will be one of the players for the Radio/Web side.

PAL’s partnership with the Phillies extends well beyond this evening’s events. Phillies Charities adopt the Ford PAL Center in South Philadelphia, improving the programming at that center and holding annual special events for the kids including a holiday party, player visits and more. They are long-time generous sponsors of the Annual PAL Award Dinner. They work with the Police Athletic League to provide tickets for the Junior Baseball Federation fundraiser. Several players, including Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins, have made significant contributions to PAL, including personal foundation donations (Howard) and visiting a disadvantaged PAL family at their fire-damaged home just before Christmas, arriving with everything on their holiday list (Rollins).

Please do your best to help the Police Athletic League. Go to PhillyPal.com for more information!

PAL does great work and helps a lot of disadvantaged people and kids. It is nice to see Phillies Nation support it. It is also nice to see the Phils show their support, especially stars Howard and Rollins.
