Your Gameday Beer – Corona Light

We’ll be enjoy Corona Light’s all weekend long on the beach and we soak up the rays and wait for the Phillies game to start. That’s livin’ right there. Corona light is surprisingly smooth and won’t fill you up. Most beer advocates look down upon Corona, but I’m of the many that believe it’s a great beer. I’d much rather drink it than Miller or Bud – but that’s just me. Enjoy the weekend! – By Pat

The site has serious issues. Been over it 100 times though.
Why is it so busy? Why this red on the sides?
Whats happening on the bottom? I refuse to look because I know its why it takes it 2 minutes to load

But I come here to express my thoughts

Instead of waterboarding they should torture people by making them listen to a game with Mike Emerick doing play by play and Tim McCarver doing commentary

Id choose waterboarding over that in a second.

And they both have ruined a sport for a long time. you watch the Stanley cup or a WS game from 10 years ago and there are these 2 worthless turds.

OK I am gearing up for Mccarver time.
Emerick is such that I just dont watch a hockey game he is doing unless its a Flyers playoff game and then its a responsibility.

Guys, really sorry. We are really trying to clean things up, they are just taking longer than we thought. We only have one guy working on it. Go Phils.

At least I started Reyes tonight 🙂

Joe Buck is backhandedly laying compliments on thick for the Philies to jinx them. He’s a Cardinals fan. It’s really annoying.

Mutts don’t need David Wright anymore, with Turner.

Happy Memorial day weekend everyone. To all who served, thank you.

My father fought in the “battle of the bulge” in the ardennes in WWII. He’s no longer with us, but my hero nonetheless.

Okay. just wanted to throw that in there real quick, back to baseball. Go Phils!

  8. Lefty

If the Phils were 4 games under .500 like the muts, CBP would still be filled. It’s not like they are 20 games out.

My buddy who is the Mets fan
Drafted Pujos #1 overall in fantasy
And I made a fun prop bet for only 50 bucks that Reyes would score more runs this year than Pujos
    Thus far I am winning

People thought I was insane for making the bet. But I am happy with jose so far

At least McCarver understnads the importance of catching!

I once worked in a store. The guy that sold us the gourmet cheese used to push all kinds of stuff we couldn’t sell. I used to ask him

      “Will it keep?”

He always said yes, and I always said

      “Keep it”

Jose Reyes!!!! Never ugggghh!!!—- Now if you want to talk Turner or Beltran.

  22. Lefty

    May 28, 2011 at 8:32 pm

When I umpire for little kids I don’t allow catchers to block the plate, and feet first slides from the runners only. I go over it with the coaches before each game, they hate me, I don’t care.

Posey didn’t even start off as catcher I don’t think, it’s not his natural position.

McCarver recognizes Carlos value, I hope others will finally really look at him.

Dom Brown swung at two balls outside the zone, he will learn.

Utley looks fine, fielding, running, and sliding. And he just works pitchers to death, we really missed that.

  23. Jeff

    May 28, 2011 at 8:32 pm

Tim Mcarver should shut his mouth. Posey had the entire plate blocked. If you slide your out. Shut up old man. YOu were horrible and I hope these guys would run over you..

    movable and untradable

    So I just enjoy him

I believe hes under.230 avg for his career 7th inning and later

And it seems that any game the Phiillies are up by 10 or down by 10 he homers.

@Pat re cleaning up the site: You know, I’m the Sharepoint administrator where I work, and we were having similar problems with our Intranet home page — 45 seconds to load. I solved it: made a blank home page and added each control back onto the page one at a time, testing in between, waiting for something to break. It turned out that the source of the problem was debris from a consultant’s early attempt at creating our Intranet. When I finished adding back everything we actually wanted on the page, there were no more delays.

Could things get any worse for Mets fans? Seriously… You get 7+ innings out of Pelfrey and blow it. The owner calls his team terrible and says they’re bleeding money, their ace and star 3B are on the shelf, their best player right now (Reyes) is probably gone after this year and they really don’t have anything to look forward to.

Chuck I think most of their fans realize they are in a downward cycle that is going to last another 2 or 3 seasons. I work with several in South Jersey and they are down on the team but they have faith in their new front office , JP Riccardi and Sandy Alderson. I actually think they will bottom out next year and start to get better again by 2014. Yes some are obnoxious but the guys I work with are decent loyal fans. Wouldnt surprise me at all if they finish last this year and next though. They are a bad team.

Phils will definitely be favored to get to the WS . Once you are there its a bit of a gamble. With this pitching, anything shy of a World Series appearance will be a disappointment though. Just hope everyone is healthy down the stretch. Last year the Giants shocked the world. If the Phils dont get to the Series this year, its gonna be bittersweet I’ll tell you

    May 28, 2011 at 10:08 pm

    Pedro was his favorite met

McCarver wasnt a pompous ass in the early 80s though

The Posey injury to me puts the Giants out of the Playoffs

And they posed (pu intended) the bigget threat to the Phillies

Not that you are glad hes hurt. But it helps the phils to Play colorado instead of the Giants in the playoffs with Posey. The Giants will get Reyes too

  96. The Original Chuck P

    May 28, 2011 at 10:10 pm

    I don’t think they’re gonna send Mini-Mart back… Doubt they’ll DL Gload… He’s been a solid PH this year. Plus, I think he’s your backup 1B.

I say we go with 11 pitchers and dump KK… Forever. The rational thing to do would be to drop one of Ben Fran or Mayberry but we all like Mayberry and Benny has made himself a fixture (even though he’s been less than stellar this year).

Fransisco could get moved if a team needs a 4th outfielder
You wouldnt get anything of value back though

I actually liked McCarver when he first started, lots of self depricating humor, gone now.

    He does what he does.

Dela Rosa injury for Rox is bad. But I’m not sure the west is a problem.

Cardinals and Marlins look to be toughest right now. I’m going to watch the Marlins now if you’r hanging out.

    @OCP- You could be right.

Alright… I’m going to complain a little. I use the Mobile version of PN on an iPhone. Once I comment, I have to wait, refresh, click on skip to comments and then scroll down to the bottom of the page (when there are 200+ comments, it can take a while) to see the replies. If I want to refresh, I have to scroll all the way back up to refresh. It’s a pain in the rear- wish that there was a refresh icon or when you click on skip to comments it should take you to the last comment posted. My $0.02.

They also have the best record “in’ MLB- i can’t type.

Braves Reds still 6-6, but can’t watch it, I hope Fox never goes to Saturday night again.

    Fox ruins the baseball package
we pay for it let us watch what we want

The site could have a simple easy forum. There are like 10 for horse racing that are easy to use. With a spell check etc etc

I will turn on Marlins Dodgers. I enjoy Vin scully
And at some point he wont be doing games anymore dudes like 90

Dodger stadium not very full, they led the leagues in attendance for 20 some years, 3 mill every year. Sad

I like Vin, but I get that monotone feel without a partner.

  112. Lefty

    May 28, 2011 at 10:39 pm

Vin doesn’t call it a swinging bunt, I like that.

  113. Andrew From Waldorf

    May 28, 2011 at 10:39 pm

The Marlins are better on the road
If people attended games in fla theyd be even better

Gonna do some stuff but ill have the game on and check in if anything interesting happens

Vin understands the value of foul balls and walks too!

  117. Lefty

    May 28, 2011 at 10:46 pm

Yeah, He was here a couple of seasons, didn’t pitch much maybe 10-20 appearances

  118. Andrew From Waldorf

    May 28, 2011 at 10:48 pm

    The Mets dont even compete

Those years when theyd blow the big leads to the phils
Id watch thier games and laugh you could see they didnt care

Used to listen to the mets post game sometimes on line to laugh

    Steve Somers called him Beltout.
And one night he just said Delgado put in no effort none
Just fall forward and you make the play.
So I called delgado fall forward
If you amass the most talented jerks in the league I definately believe a less talented team with chemistry beats them easy

  119. Andrew From Waldorf

    May 28, 2011 at 10:49 pm

I mean if you want to learn everything about a player
    listen to Vin Scully

the marlins should lose this with their starter limited to 50 pictches

    New thread up.

  121. Andrew From Waldorf

There is a reason Bonds never won a title

Van Slyke told a story about the Sid Bream play
Van slyke told barry to move in a little so he could get Bream at the plate
And Barry flipped off Van slyke

    The rest is history
