The Doctor is in. Roy Halladay will start today’s match-up against the Twins’ Jason Marquis.

David Hale reported the first round of roster cuts today. Dave Bush, Austin Hyatt, Pat Misch, JC Ramirez, and BJ Rosenberg are gone from the pitching side with Harold Garcia, Tyson Gillies, Cesar Hernandez, and Sebastian Ville headed from the field. These players will head to minor league camp. No big surprises here, as a healthy pitching staff limits opportunities for these players to break camp and the position players headed to minor league camp all need more minor league seasoning anyways.  Garcia was out-righted off the 40 man today which creates an opportunity for a player like Bush, Hyatt, Misch, or Rosenberg to join in the event of an emergency or a dark-horse like Hector Luna or Lou Montanez to be ready to go in case of a similar emergency in the field.

We’ve officially reached the point in spring where the Phils’ starters will start to get more and more innings meaning we are that much closer to Opening Day. Dom Brown will look to follow up his big day yesterday from the 7th spot, playing DH.  Freddy Galvis is continuing his consecutive Spring Training game streak at 14 as the Chase Utley watch continues.
