Chooch is day-to-day and Brian Schneider will start in his place. Mike Fontenot will get the start at second base.

I guess he may pull a hammy

Then you can cry for about 4 years about it.

He got hurt like the fossil pitchers.

Our old friend Jamie Moyer was released today. He had a few decent starts in April but got hammered in May…

    I’m Ted Bell.

Jamie Moyer lived his dream. And then he wanted to live it again. Bzzzzzzzzzzz! Thank you for playing and here are some lovely parting gifts. ‘There are no second acts in American life’.

Sad to hear about Jamie Moyer. He had some good starts, and didn’t get much support from his team. I think he had a lot to teach the younger pitchers on the team, and they don’t appreciate what they’re losing. They will be a worse team without him (if that’s possible, because they really stink this year)

So what did we read about the stiff Gillen’s career ERA vs the Phils? Oh, that’s right, the younger Phils.. its different now.

When are the Phils going to stop swinging at balls. Little leaguer have more control. And can our pitchers stop throwing the ball down the middle of the plate.

Tch, I had hoped that we would take the lead and that would give Lee a chance for his first win. Better luck next time.

Choooch. Need this one to take the series.

If and it’s a big if, the Phils can just hold on until the cavalry gets back they’ll be in great shape. 8 weeks without Halladay, Utley and Howard. If they’re still within 5/6 they go for it.

…and then J-bag fouls out to the catcher! At least we tied it and it’s game on again. C’mon Lee and go Phils!

First and third nobody out used to mean runs coming our way… even 1rst and 3rd with 1 out..

    YES!!!

Finally got a run home. Let’s hold this baby down. Win series!

Over/under on how many baserunners Pops lets on base before Cholly takes him out? Jose gets the first out, allows 2 base runners, leaves the game with maybe 2 outs and the next pitcher allows in the tying run. Scripted

You know, I like the call he just made: “That one’s deep and it’s NOT COMING BACK!”

      May 30, 2012 at 9:57 pm

I’d much rather hear this … “Swing … and a long drive, that ball is … outta here! Home run Jimmy Rollins.”

But as long as the Phils are hitting, T-Mac is OK.

    May 30, 2012 at 9:53 pm

Let me think, how many times have the Phils hit 3 hrs in 1 game this year?

Mets fans are doing a reverse Who Concert — trampling each other to get OUT of the ballpark.

@Brooks: How many times have the Phils had 3 RUNS in a game this year?

It is good to see the old Rollins on that home run – even if it will be fleeting and short-lived. Go Phils.

Chooch is the MVP of this game. He turned the whole thing around with one swing of the bat. Awesome job as usual. Too bad that Lee still has not won.

Always warms my heart to see the Phils slap around the Mets like this. Been a while!

This Andres Tores is a .205 hitter… give me abreak -I too love seeing the Muts go down, late, early and hard!

Gained one on the Mets and two on the Nats in the last three days. I’m starting to get the feeling the Phils will be there at the end.

Whee! They kept us guessing! I just wish they could have gotten Cliffy the win.
