Phillies Nation TV: 2012 Wrap Up

On our final edition of Phillies Nation TV for the 2012 baseball season, Corey and I discuss the year and how it ended up the way it did. We go through the whole roster; from Ryan Howard and Chase Utley missing the beginning of the season, all the way down to Jeremy Horst and the bullpen.

The free agent market for the outfield and third base is not great, so we talk about the names and who is a reality for the Phillies.

We also answer a few reader comments and questions about the team.

Thanks for watching all season! Enjoy, and we’ll see you during the Winter Meetings.

Why why can’t we start Frandsen. I’m absolutely flabbergasted as to why we think he cannot be an everyday starter?? Please fill me in. I’m only 25 and perhaps I do not know too much, but I do know that we won w Feliz. Yes he was better defensively and always had a timely hit when it mattered, but still Kevin is a very good ball player.

    Fill me in

He’s not a strong fielder and he will be 31 next year. There’s a reason why he has been with 3 teams in six years and has never been a full time player. Its rare that a player on this side of 30 will suddenly change. It’s possible, but the Phillies should plan on him being what hes been for most of his career, which is an OK bench bat. That’s just the facts.

Phillies are 1 0f 10 teams who need and have the ability to afford Josh Hamilton. I like those odds. With 3 of those suitors in the NL and one of them being the Braves, the Phils cannot afford to let this guy slip out of our hands in the NL, especially with our offense. I put Howard at 4 and hamilton at 3 utley 5 bourn 1 Rollins 2

@ArC, avoid Hamilton bc he WILL want a 5,6 year deal. And he’s what?- 31,32? PASS!!!!

    Too many issues too.
