Watch Dom Brown Splash Down in McCovey Cove

Domonic Brown became the 27th visiting player to hit a ball into McCovey Cove Monday night in San Francisco (although, not sure how they keep records, as it did bounce in on the concrete walkway just in front of the water).

Here it is, in all it’s glory. And check out the flags blowing in.

I didn’t notice the flags watching the game last night, incredible.

Ditto. And it was a good pitch from Bum… even more impressive.

What was the second splash near the ball on the right side of the screen in the CSN part of the clip?

I can only guess, I did think about the same question. I think it was one of those extra long handled nets that someone was trying to use prior to the kayak getting there.

Interesting part of the ball park is the walk area where Dom hit the home run is free to the public. The ball usually hits on that walk way and bounces into the water. Another free area where people watch the game is at the fence in right field. If you see a ball hit to the wall or bounce in the corner, there’s always a crowd you can see watching at ground level at the fence. It’s free, but normally after a while, officials from the park make them move so it doesn’t become too crowded. I’m sure people leave and come back.
