After another disappointing loss last night, manager Charlie Manuel was heated in his post-game press conference.  He expressed that he doesn’t know what else he can do with his lineup, acknowledging the lack of run support.  Could these words fire up the offense?  Does it give them something to prove?  We’ll find out.

After an impressive start to his major league career, Jonathan Pettibone has struggled as of late.  In his last three starts, Pettibone is 0-2 with a 6.91 ERA.  He only lasted three innings in last start against Colorado as he allowed seven runs.  Pettibone will try to get back on track today against the Mets.

Dillon Gee, today’s starter for the Mets, has horrible career numbers against the Phillies.  He has a 7.49 ERA in 39.2 innings against Philadelphia.  It may look good on paper for the Phillies offense, but they have been so  unpredictable at times.

Lineup: SS Rollins, 2B Utley, 3B M. Young, 1B Howard, LF Brown, RF Mayberry, CF Revere, C Ruiz, P Pettibone.
