Cole Hamels (4-11, 4.17) v. Jose Quintana (4-2, 3.67)

TIME: 1:35, Citizens Bank Park
Media: Twitter and Facebook

The Phillies will try for .500 today after splitting the double header with the White Sox yesterday. The two teams played 24 innings of baseball, and both games were nearly four hours each.

The Phils will be without Ben Revere, who broke his foot on a foul ball yesterday. This will obviously be a huge loss not just for today but for a while.

Cole Hamels will get the nod, and despite having a rough season so far, has been spectacular in his last two starts. He’s 2-0 with a 1.20 ERA. For the White Sox, Jose Quintana will start, and he’s been a pleasant surprise for Chicago this year.

Lineup: 3B M. Young, 2B Utley, SS Rollins, LF Brown, 1B Ruf, RF D. Young, CF Mayberry, C Ruiz, P Hamels.

Game is just way too close, again.
How about that, walking Rollins to get to Brown.. and he looks foolish.

Trade Papelbon, M. Young, Utley and Ruiz. We need new blood. We need a future. I am glad I did not attend this game. Very disappointed. Hey boys, let’s raise those ticket prices again.

G7 no arguement there – but, does it have to be such a strain to beat a sub .500 team?

Three of those four series wins were against much better teams. Not every team can do that.

Agreed..losing Revere and Paps problems have to be large concerns..not sure if Pap can bring much value or not..Wont be a total sell job.
