Cliff Lee pitched a gem last night, and Cody Asche provided the big hit to propel the Phillies to a 2-1 victory.

Tonight, Kyle Kendrick will be opposed by Alex Wood, who is coming off a rough start.  Wood, just 22 years of age, was drafted out of the University of Georgia in the second round of last year’s draft.  He dominated his way through the minor leagues, posting a 1.74 ERA in 24 starts on all levels.  Since his callup in May, he has faced the Phillies a few times, including one start, and fared pretty well.  It will be interesting to see how the rookie rebounds after an awful start against Miami, where he allowed seven runs  in less than three innings.

Lineup: Hernandez CF, Frandsen 1B, Utley 2B, Ruiz C, Ruf LF, Asche 3B, Galvis SS, Mayberry RF, Kendrick P.
