A Note for Tonight:

The Phillies look to put together back-to-back wins against the Marlins tonight facing 24-year old righty Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi was the main piece of the haul in the deal that sent Hanley Ramirez to LA and has some experience against the Phils. Luckily for Philadelphia, they have hit him well. Jimmy Rollins is 5-14 with a homer, Domonic Brown 4-13, and Chooch is 4-11 with 3 2B against the Alvin, TX native. The Phillies counter with Jonathan Pettibone. Pettibone saw action in just one Spring Training game before being shutdown. Two Marlins (Donovan Solano and Garrett Jones) have left the yard against Pettibone who will look to shake some more rust off after a quick stop in Lehigh Valley.

Lineup:

Gywnn CF/ Rollins SS/ Utley 2B/ Howard 1B/ Byrd RF/ Brown LF/ Ruiz C/Galvis 3B/ Pettibone P

I take Ben’s offense over TGJ even if his defense is better.
Oops there TGJ hitting a double.
My point was that if Ben was not sore he would be playing

You get 4 at bats w/ RISP in one inning, you should do oksy. Now, the question is can they do that 3-4 times tonight.

I think that might be the most hits the Phils have ever had off a starter who spells his name with 2 vowels at the start of the last name. #veryimportant

So I watch until they take Pettibone out and the Phils are winning 4-2, led by the Man. I come back from putting the kids to bed and it’s 4-4! C’mon bullpen! FFS!!

Depressing to see how empty that ballpark is. I was just reading something that said Friday’s game was the lowest attendance since 2007.

Its good to see that 2 of the so called ‘relics’ on this team are playing somewhat up to their old standards.

They are both actually exceeding their old standards so far, and Utley in particular by miles.
