Phillies Home Opener PPD Until Tuesday at 4:05

Press release from the Phillies:

Tomorrow’s Home Opener between the Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers has been postponed and rescheduled for Tuesday, April 8 at 4:05 p.m. Monday’s game has been postponed due to a weather forecast for considerable rain all Monday afternoon.

Since the Phillies’ schedule has a built-in rain protection date for Tuesday, April 8, the decision was made to reschedule the game for that date which has a forecast for clear weather.

All tickets for the April 7 game will be honored for entry into the April 8 game. All gates, including Ashburn Alley, will open at 1:35 p.m.

All Opening Day pregame festivities, including the Citizens Bank Way Opening Day Party and on-field performances, will take place on the rescheduled game date. The Citizens Bank Way Opening Day Party will now begin at 1:00 p.m.

In addition, all fans will receive a Citizens Bank Park Commemorative Banner, compliments of Modell’s Sporting Goods.

Phillies fans, plan accordingly. New start time, new gate opening.

So what happens if we can’t go on Tuesday? Will tickets be honored for another game?

Thank you Phillies! My husband and I travelled all the way from Wisconsin for the home opener and of course are flying home Tuesday. Horrible decision to call the game for a “potential” chance of rain. Looks like the bad rain is supposed to arrive in the evening…no excuse not to try and squeeze in the game at 3pm or start earlier! Since when do teams not play in some rain? Now you will have a lot of pissed off people who travelled and took off for a game Mon and won’t be able to go Tues.

Love the negative comments! Well you say ‘your sorry’ when it rains tomorrow and it wouldn’t have flipping mattered!

I am waiting for someone to blame Ruben Amaro for the rain postponement.

Rain postponements are out of Amaro’s hands, but I know for certain that he’s responsible for global warming, the disapearance of that airliner over the South China Sea, the Russian takeover of Crimea, and all those faulty GM cars.
