It’s nice to see the Phillies aren’t the only ones sucking tonight. Not even through 2 innings yet, and both teams have left the bases loaded already.

This is looking like another stinkbomb.
Can’t hit a 5 era pitcher and Hernandez is flirting with disaster.

  3. Tracey

    May 9, 2014 at 8:10 pm

Yeah, but it’s a bilateral stinkbomb. Mets have left the bases loaded twice now, with only two innings played. Their pitcher has thrown 40 pitches in two innings, which is not as bad as ours (51), but still no way to gtet a quality start.

And it’s a SLOW game. Two innings in barely an hour.

    May 9, 2014 at 8:19 pm

Woo hoo! Now it’s a tied suckfest!

What a match up this is.

The video tape should be immediately sent to cooperstown.

I wonder which team will have more empty seats this year the Mets of the Phils.

Can’t stand it..going to watch draft

    May 9, 2014 at 9:31 pm

Wow 5 hours of this mess of a game between these 2 teams LOL

Ruben how could you do this?

I really think by the end of the year will be having games with less than 20 000 in the stands on a regular basis.

    Maybe a few below 15000

Its worse than being the Royals or some small market team.
At least you can watch young hungary players on a team like the Marlins.

They walked Revere earlier to load the bases to get to Rollins who right on cue struck out.

When its 12-4 though look out!!!

Our guys play at a high level then.

Fausto Hernandez is like a great escape artist. He gets in trouble a lot but gets himself out of it. Gotta respect that.

Game is 3 hours old in the 6th inning.

and there have been 3 runs scored.

I want Amaro to narrate the video of this game that is sent to Cooperstown.

Is this game setting some kind of record for LOB? 11 for the Phils, 13 for the Mets, and there are still two innings to be played…

    May 9, 2014 at 10:46 pm

    Frickin really come on!!!!!

  12. Tracey

    May 9, 2014 at 10:46 pm

Oh good grief. Bastardo gives up the lead.

  13. lefty

    May 9, 2014 at 11:00 pm

Mets have walked 9 batters and we’ve scored only 2 runs. Oh well, thats more than the Red Sox are gonna get.

  14. Hogey's Role

    May 9, 2014 at 11:00 pm

Boy this game and the jets draft plan, I should have started drinking heavy In the morning, what a joke

  15. Tracey

    May 9, 2014 at 11:02 pm

hehehe. I was right to think this seemed like some kind of record for LOB. They just said on TV that the record is 30 and we’re at 28. And this ain’t over yet.

  16. lefty

    May 9, 2014 at 11:08 pm

Tracey that is way too many. Sheeesh!

    • Tracey

      May 9, 2014 at 11:12 pm

Definitely. Too many for us, because we should have turned those men on base into runs, and too many for the Mets because we shouldn’t have put them on base in the first place.

  19. Morris Buttermaker

    May 9, 2014 at 11:22 pm

This is possibly the worst baseball game I have ever seen.

    • Tracey

      May 9, 2014 at 11:28 pm

Yeah, Mr. Buttermaker, this game is bad news for everybody. The teams. The fans. Everybody.

  20. Andrew from Waldorf

    May 9, 2014 at 11:24 pm

Even the players want it to just be over.

    Here comes the rain.

A rain delay could be fun.

you know its sad when I agree with Walter Mathau

Nice piece of hitting by Byrd, really have to credit utley for getting that rally started jumping on that first pitch and driving that double to the gap, awesome job guys

    Winner winner

3-2 in 11 innings and only took 4 hours and 45 minutes.

    an instant classic

I am making reservations or a hotel room for the world series parade

A win is a win. Remembering last year, I think Ryan Howard has had tremendous success against Dillon Gee.

  31. David

    May 10, 2014 at 1:09 am

Ryan Howard hit 4 of his 10 homers off of Dillon Gee last year. I am looking forward to tonight’s game and I am sure Ryan Howard is looking forward to this matchup too.

Can you people complain any more. JRoll struck out with bases loaded, yes, but he took pitches and fouled like 10 pitches. Oh wait the are suppose to get a hit every time. The ump had a rotating strike zone. He had 3 walks. But let’s bitch about the K.
Bastardo threw pitches that were called strikes in previous innings and hit Chooch’s glove 3 out of four times. But all pitches were called balls. And he came back the next inning and did not let it phase him. But let’s bitch about him blowing the lead.
They were patient at the plate because the Mets were nibbling all night. And drew a few walks. But let’s bitch at the length of the game.
They win the game but let’s just complain about not scoring runs.

      lol – well said beta

    • Scotty Ingerton

      May 10, 2014 at 2:40 pm

Most of the complaining came as the game was in progress. You have to admit, the actual game was dreadful anyway you want to look at it. Of course, it’s nice to get a win. Yay!
