In my fantasy league we have 4 moves per week.

I basically have a free move this week as I am winning most categories and wont use them.

I scoured the available players and match ups.

I saw that the Marlins are starting a lefty and Dom Brown is on paternity leave.

I figure John Mayberry has to be a lock to play. He rakes left handed pitching.

So I rent him for exactly one day. Today.
He is already dropped for tomorrow.
And he has no real value except on a day with limited games and vs a lefty.

    So sandberg sits him.

I could have had Revere or Altherr but I figured Mayberry a lock.

    This sucks.

but sums up my feelings for the 2014 Phillies.

    YUCK

Still this is a must win game.

Go Phils and maybe <ayberry will get a pinch hit chance.

If they can’t hit this guy…

I really don’t get the left handed line up?

Unless this guy cant get out lefties and can righties?

But righties have a 1.020 OPS vs hand this year and lefties have a .739

    WTF

    Why Ryno???

    Just have to screw AFW???

    I don’t see them scoring a lot.

    Mayberry

    .555 OPs vs RHP
    ,947 OPS vs LHP

Yet he tarts vs Koehler a right hander last ngiht and goes 0-4 and sits today?

    WHY?

  5. Andrew from waldorf

    July 3, 2014 at 6:28 pm

Come on Shenkman where is the stat that says I am out of line?

    Mayberry should have sat today?
There must be a valid reason.

I am trying to give Sandberg the benefit of the doubt.

I dont know the reason for this, but it’s a much better bet that JMJ will come through for you pinch hitting than starting.

I bet Kendrick hasn’t thrown under 21 pitches in the first two innings in any other game this year.

    July 3, 2014 at 6:56 pm

Maybe they’re close to a Mayberry deal and dont want him to get hurt?

There has got to be some reason other than “we just wanted to give ihm the Night off”.

Mr Hand already has thrown 65 pitches. Ozuna is earning a Phillies killer reputation.

Yes Yahoo and they limited moves because I am good at using moves.

    As you lefty might think.

I will drop a player with ease and most people cant.

    They get attached.

    Like Ruben Amoron.

I am not ttached to the players I draft lol

I hope people are mocking me about mayberry LOL

    Its my fault.

Like when I am in line at the store and the person in front of me has a problem and I am held up.

Its not that person it happens because I am in line behind them.

I picked up Mayberry so that’s why.

And he will never be on another fantasy team again probably.

    You dick!!!!

    Here come the flood gates.

The last time this was a good offensive team was 2009 NLCS.

Why didn’t he use asherer in center and mayberry in left?

OK I am pissed at sandberg lol

    Only because of fantasy

Andrew is messing with us..Only the staunchest of fans will believe that season was over after the Braves series.

Wow, what’d I miss? Just tuned in the Orioles, now in first place with Crush Davis hitting worse than Ryan Howard in every dept, sporting a .205 ba.. And this team is built, where the Phil’s are hoping for Howard to hit and it’s just not going to happen. This club will be finishing just about last because they just do not have the talent anymore, mainly the once formidable Big Piece.

So true, so true. Amaro said it himself earlier this season. I don’t remember the exact quote, but something to the effect of the team going as far as Ryan Howard carries it. Too much responsibility for any one man IMO- but I guess for those that have more, more is expected.
