Garza with a perfect game with one out in the 5th.

These things should not count vs a team that Ruben Amaro has assembled.

    Byrd gets a walk.

    no hitter still in tact.

    what a team!

    No hitter through 5

    Ruben is perplexed.

He thought this team was going to be good and contend.

    LOLOLOLOLOLOL

I really feel he could have spent his $180,000,000.00 more wisely.

No hits for the phils through 6

Buchanan only has given up a few hits himself.

I just caught up with my DVR. It’s easy to do, just skip the commercials and the phils at bats.

I’m a good luck charm, the Phillies haven’t been no- hit with me watching, since all the way back to……. well let’s see… yeah ….since at least….. oh I remember now, the Dodgers series.

    July 10, 2014 at 3:58 pm

Howard simply clogs the middle of the line up.

I know hes owed 25 million next year and 10 million buy out the following year

just pay it and move on

  13. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 3:59 pm

Are the Phillies really going to get their 2 and 3 hitters to single to open the inning and not score?

  14. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 4:00 pm

    2nd and 3rd one out

    no runs

McCarthy is proud they got their first hit of the day

    in fact they got 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Really for how horrible this team is should have kept wheeler who sucks but really fits the team.

Glad to see the base hit end the possibility that Garza could surpass Beckett’s classic post game quote of “That’s a good hitting team over there.”

What a reason to be glad the no-no possibility ended.

    A looooong summer.

TMAC thinks it’s unusual to play infield in with a one run lead in the seventh inning. I agree with Andrew, enough with Mr “hides the ball well” give me Mr “middle in” back.

    • Lefty

      July 10, 2014 at 4:14 pm

In other words all MLB batters want a pitch middle in, and all MLB pitchers hide the ball well, but only Wheels knew how to analyze and keep TMAC from trying to fill air and say stupid things. Sheesh

The phils are trying to tie it up

That’s why they are the fightin phils!!!

    We can do this.

    Rupp is good!!!!!!!!!1

It’s almost as if someone needs to take a cattle prod to Jaime when it’s his turn to speak.

    Tmac is a broadcaster.
Baseball knowledge is not very big.

As bad as phillie broadcasting can be

think about how brutally awful the nationals broadcasts are.

Even if I was a Nats fan id have big issues with them

    • Lefty

      July 10, 2014 at 4:22 pm

I dont mind FP Santangelo too much, he’s prerty good when he does FOX games. But cannot listen to he and Carpenter together.

      • c. schreiber

        July 10, 2014 at 10:45 pm

AMEN!! Carpenter is the worst MLB announcer going.

    Break this thing open Howard.

  23. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 4:29 pm

That’s why they are the fightin Phils!!!

    Never in question.

    No paplebomb tonight though.

The parade will be even sweeter after hearing all these nay sayers!!!

  24. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:31 pm

    Yes

  25. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 4:31 pm

Howard had 2 RBI in his previous 20 games

    now 2 today

    4-1 Phils

    The bandwagon is filling up!!!!

  26. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:35 pm

That would have been a CBP home run for Howard, right in the flower box.

  27. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:40 pm

Will Smith should stick to acting. Pitching is not his strong suit. Great stats Murph , yes the Phillies win more when they score runs.

  28. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 4:41 pm

    7-1 fightins

    this team is good.

    Buy Ruben buy

Wild card still in view only down 9 in the division.

    • Lefty

      July 10, 2014 at 4:45 pm

      Child please

  29. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 4:43 pm

    12 hitters in one inning

    approaching a record!!!

  30. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:44 pm

Brilliant analysis Jaime. “And then ball four was ball four.” 🙂
What a great inning this is!!!!!

    • Andrew from waldorf

      July 10, 2014 at 4:45 pm

      Best inning of the season.

This team is on the rise!!!!

  31. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 4:44 pm

It took a replay to end the rally

this is why I am against the replay!

  32. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:49 pm

I love replay. Answer this question. How can we make our game shorter and less tedious for the casual fan? Yeah….. lol

  33. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:52 pm

Jaime throws out every trite old baseball saying he can every game. Use them all up Jaime- god forbid you bring something original to the game. No wonder TMAC thinks he gas to do the play by play and color.

  34. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 4:53 pm

Jaime, there is no way a struggling Brewers team took the Phillies lightly.

  35. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 5:00 pm

Moyer obviously wants to stay in the game.

That’s why he pitched till he was 50 years old.

Maybe he would be better suited to be a pitching coach.

You know he is one of my all time favorites so tough for me to bash.

They picked 2 fan favorites in moyer and stairs.

And I come away missing Wheeler who was a very bad broadcaster.

    • Lefty

      July 10, 2014 at 5:02 pm

I have mad respect for Jaime too. But the strong silent type doesn’t belong in the booth.

    • schmenkman

      July 10, 2014 at 5:10 pm

I’m withholding judgment until they have a year or two of seasoning. How good was Wheels his first year (I don’t remember)?

      • Andrew from waldorf

        July 10, 2014 at 5:12 pm

        I wasn’t born yet!

        But you are always prudent.

  36. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 5:00 pm

If Paps couldn’t go in a third straight game when they had a chance to sweep the Muts three straight TMAC. There is no way he goes four straight games in a non save situation. Just think man, let Jamie do the analysis.

  37. Mike

    July 10, 2014 at 5:04 pm

Didn’t the left fielder touch that ground rule ball and deflect it so it hit the foul pole? Shouldn’t that have something to do with the ruling?

    • Lefty

      July 10, 2014 at 5:07 pm

I thought that the first time I saw it too, but it didn’t look that way during the replays.

  38. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 5:05 pm

Big series for Rollins. I’m weak at SS. I might grab Jimmy and start him this weekend. Jed Lowrie isn’t getting it done this year.

  39. Andrew from waldorf

    July 10, 2014 at 5:07 pm

Most Phillies are available in all formats.

Load up and get in on the big push.

    Get howard too!

I typed that before he hit his bomb in a 7-1 game

    go figure

if it was 2-1 what happens?

I have never seen any player pad numbers like this guy.

He is truly amazing at it.

    Much respect!!!

AFW, as you well know by now, the facts don’t support that theory.

        July 10, 2014 at 5:13 pm

Sometimes I wonder what team you watch.

But since you are on the same bandwagon I am on

        Its all good!

  41. Lefty

    July 10, 2014 at 5:10 pm

That’s a big no thank you on Howard. I don’t care how far TMAC says he hits them.

    Winner winner
    Chicken dinner

    They are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone wishing to sit in the booth with myself, Chuck A and Lefty for the world series parade in early november is welcome.

Nice job Diekman. Great job Phillies, way to come back from what looked like a bad game through seven innings.
