Hudson is responsible for 7 of Howard’s 329 career homers, only Chris Volstad has allowed more (8).

Buster Posey is 4-for-7 lifetime versus Kyle Kendrick while Brandon Crawford is 3 for 6 over the past three years against KK.

Most of those Hudson numbers came before the big injury. Since, then, like most pitchers, Hudson hasn’t had much trouble blowing Howard away.

Why was Ruf out of this game. He had two hits in the game before. Dom Brown needs to go to Lehigh valley. In four at bats he didn’t hit the ball out of the infield three times. How many times this year has he rolled a soft ground ball to second on the first or second pitch?

That 6th inning was the entire Phillies season in a nutshell. Top and bottom.

They just taking losing in stride so well. Just lose 5 out 6 and act like nothing happen.

    Really, just a terrible team.

I missed the game but from a quick glance, looks like good ole AB sunk them again. Man I wish they traded him while the opportunity existed. Oh well.

Pretty tough Sunday scoping the Sunday papers, ironically, today, Sunday.

Par exemple. Roger Staubach and Tom Seaver were at the ballgame yesterday, and that’s simple enough to digest. But Disney chairman Bob Iger was the completion of the good things happen in 3 sentence. Iger still chairs Disney? I’d a swore David Montgomery was chairin’ up things in Disneyworld these days. I’m a fan of The Mouse, but I doubt Mick’s ever pulled anything as funny as the Howard/Utley comedy show yesterday that rushed the floodgates to open status.

Then there’s the poll question in that asks whether the Phillies are still worth watching. A whopping near 20% of respondents voted affirmatively. The percentage don’t meanothin’ since a company can double sales going from a buck to two in a given time, but 639 looney tunes voted yes. Subtract, Amaro’s family, the players wives and kiddies, the trainer’s pets, that still leaves a few hundred who could walk on any crime charge based on mentally incompetent to stand trial. Wtah? Muh, muh, muh maybe. But opine that they are WORTH watching. What a fool believes.

Anybody read the article where Sandberg was asked when he was going to start alternating the lineup to start on next season’s roster, and it basically stated by RAJ it’ll start when the Phils are mathmatically eliminated from playoff contention? This game pretty much proves we’re now mathematically eliminated wouldn’t you say?

Ryan Howard and Jimmy Rollins are batting a combined .228 this season. Enough said.
