No Castillo post, eh? Probably good and rare blog/talk radio move since the latest is mere spckalation. How’s that fer good grammar. And let somebody be stupid enough to believe this boy cain’t speak English with the best of ’em when he feel like it.

Anywho, Just a couple quickie comments off the one rumor the Phils are the, or a favorite to ink the Cuban dynamo. The poll, glanced at earlier today, had a plurality, but still the leading percentage suspectin’ he was interlocking NY bound. Wouldn’t catch me voting that way. Obviously, suspecting the Yanks win a free agent derby’ll provide the winning ticket a whole buncha x’s, but Castillo’s 28ish, and let’s assume the Yanks are true to the rumor that they want him to play second base. What a very underrated early demise of a career that position is. A LOT more often than not, 34, and it’s already a little past the beginning of the end.

Now I don’t believe Castillo visited the Phils facility (might have), but it’s said to be top notch, and I’d like to think Ruben can sell. Guys like Utley and Hamels rave about what a terrific place Philly is to win in. Top of my head reveals no names thqat can translate that to Cuban. Adolpho Phillips is Panamanian. Tony Taylor prolly has no tattoos, and if he can still salsa, it’s in slo mo. So somewhere, a translation into espanil might help. Where have you gone Rick Ricardo, our nation turn it’s lonely eyes to yous. Moyer, off his TV work appears to be the Stu Scott of modern day baseball. On air, he sounds like he speaks Spaqnish and English in stereo.

So there’s hope.and we assume it’s a good thing. Kirby Puckett comps are cool. Course Andre McCarter was comped to Oscar Robertson coming out of The Brook, and hoops wise, that didn’t happen.

Boy, do they need tralent. Hope it happens, and works out. Be a nice change over some recent trends.

I find it interesting that the New York writer thinks the Phils are the frontrunner for Castillo, and Salisbury thinks the home team are longshots. ????

Murph is paying attention to the game, which I like. Phils announcers are usually too busy BSing.

      August 18, 2014 at 9:39 pm

Yeah, he did better than I expected from the history I saw online. No complaints. Much better than Gilbert N’Sullivan that they traded for him.

First ofI am a Met fan and I think that was an admirable win against Seattle who is trying to get into the playoffs. Philadelphia nation should be proud to see their future Hall of Fame players in the field (Rollins, Howard, Utley, Papelbon, Lee, Hamels). And you have some very good players such as Ruiz, Asche, Byrd. I wonder if Detroit and Oakland may be interested in obtaining Byrd, they are in need of help. Oakland misses Yoenis Cespedes. Keep your chin up, your Phillies are better than you think. I wish the Mets had the talent the Phillies has.
