Why in the world would TMAC think that Jamie was asking him if he did acupuncture? What a clown.

Ha- Jaime was talking about how the Japanese pitchers train. So he suggests “accupuncture?” TMAC goes, me? I’m still laughing.

This is my first time seeing Iwakuma pitch since he pitched for Kintetsu.

    He’s looking mighty good.

Seager is a really good 3rd baseman. That’s a bomb in Seattle too. No cheapie.

TMac actually said during this past inning that they “were only down by 3″… As if somehow they were actually IN this game.

It might as well be 33. They have no shot.

Why is Burnett still in the game?

Because Sandberg sucks with his pitching staff and bullpen management. I mean, leaving I’m in like that was totally senseless. 125 pitches? For what?

I know hindsight is always 20/20. But my goodness, he has not gotten a pitching decision correct in at least two weeks.

He leaves a guy in, the guy gets lit up.
He brings in a bullpen guy, the guy gets lit up.

Chase Utley hustles no matter how dire the situation. Gotta take comfort in something.

Really, a pitching change with two outs in the ninth of a 5-0 game?

Oh come on now. The Phillies are (soon to be were) threatening. Can’t take any chances.

Stat of note from today’s game …

Diekman, Giles, Paps: 4 IP, no runs, 9 Ks – how good, indeed, is that. (For the statistically-curious, that translates to 20.25 Ks over 9 innings.)
