Stigall Rips Chase Utley’s “Ellen” Appearance – Phillies Nation

Stigall Rips Chase Utley’s “Ellen” Appearance

In case you missed it, Julie Kramer, a 23 year old woman battling stage-4 Synovial Sarcoma appeared on “Ellen” this week for an interview on inspiring women. Kramer, from Tabernacle, NJ, a big Phillies fan, was surprised with a nice amount of Phillies merchandise and a check for $10,000, presented by Chase Utley himself. He also invited her to any Phillies game next season–including a batting practice invite to “meet the guys”.

It was an amazing moment.

But a radio talk show host for 1210 WPHT didn’t seem to think so. Chris Stigall absolutely trashed the whole situation, at one point even questioning if she will live through the season. Yikes. Remember, 1210 PHT is the flagship station for the Phillies. Listen here:

There’s nothing like crapping on an amazingly nice gesture, by the current face of the Phillies, on a national stage–during the holidays. It was an unbelievably low blow to everyone involved, and way out of line.

Who’s Chris Stigall and more importantly, who cares? This is what happens when you’re a nobody with nothing to talk about.

Unfortunately thanks to the reactions, he’s already added a couple of minutes to his 15 minutes of fame.

Not sure what caused him to say what he did. It was a stupid thing to say.

Any guesses how much longer Stigall has a job?

Stigall should be out of work after the holidays.— if not sooner. He’s a dumb, nasty ass.

This is just awful. As someone who has had an skin cancer tumor removed this pisses me off. Not as serious as what this lady has/had. Something like this infuriates me. Im also upset at the lady. Usually women have more sense when it comes to these matters and should of stopped him in his tracks. Can we call that # and complain?

Who’s Chris Stigall? Why he’s that fellow who ought to be losing his radio gig momentarily.

What an ass**** chris stigall is. It was a great gesture by Chase and the Phillies. It should not matter. He definitly should lose his job over this but first he should be made to apologize on the air to her and how sorry and insenitive his comments were to her and everyone else.

Unfortunately, there are many media reporters that no longer have any morals or ethics. The news is entertainment now, not factual reporting. Opinions are now rampant. I never knew the political party one favored, the likes of Harry Reasoner left his opinions drive his newscasts. Idiots like Stigal are a dime a dozen…trash distributors. His apology would be meaningless cause he wouldn’t know why he had to apologize. Community service on a Cancer Center might enlighten this guy. Give him some truth & reality in his face for a couple months. Chase is definitely a class act! I hope this lady beats the cancer she has & Stigal actually be doing his service while she is there so he can be shown the harsh reality cancer patients & their family members endure.
