Reports: Revere could be heading to Orioles

***UPDATE: The Blue Jays and Phillies have “re-engaged” in Revere discussions, according to Buster Olney. The Phillies’ asking price may have diminished as the deadline draws nearer.

**UPDATE: The Blue Jays are, apparently, not interested in Revere and the Phillies are now talking to “some other team,” according to ESPN’s Buster Olney.

*UPDATE: Jim Salisbury has reported that the Toronto Blue Jays are now interested in Revere and talks regarding a deal are “heating up.”

With the 4 p.m. trade deadline just a few short hours away, the Phillies may not be done making moves after sending left-hander Cole Hamels to the Texas Rangers in a blockbuster deal.

Fox Sports’ Ken Rosenthal reported yesterday that an unidentified American League team was interested in Ben Revere. Today, the team has been identified as the Baltimore Orioles.

While the Orioles are reportedly close to signing a deal for Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra, Rosenthal’s previous tweet indicates that Baltimore is willing to sign both outfielders.

Phillies beat writer Todd Zolecki has also reported that the Phills and Orioles are still discussing a deal for Revere.

Nothing we can do now except sit back and watch how this whole thing plays out.
