A Note for Today:

The Phillies are back in town, and it couldn’t be any sooner.  Facing the Mets and Red Sox, the Phillies have come home with a 4-game losing streak, and a 3-7 record in the last 10 games.  The Phillies offense was able to score 14 runs in their last win, which came against the Mets on the 1st of the month.

Facing the ailing Braves, the Phillies will face Williams Perez on the mound.  Perez has a 4-6 record with a 5.65 ERA.  The Braves have fallen in the division, joining the Phillies and Marlins in the basement.

The Phillies could actually end the series not in last place for the division, with the Braves having one more win than the Phillies.  With a little optimism on top, the Phillies could end the year in 3rd place if the Braves continue their spiral and the Marlins just keep being the Marlins.

Catch the action at 7:05 EST.

Hernandez 2B, Herrera CF, Altherr RF, Howard 1B, Sweeney RF, Asche 3B, Rupp C, Galvis SS, Harang RHP
