Scott Kingery clubs two home runs in second career Triple-A game

The legend of Scott Kingery continues. Late Sunday night, upon hitting .313 with 18 home runs in Double-A Reading, Kingery was promoted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The second baseman is now on the fast track to the big leagues, and is primed to be in Philadelphia sooner rather than later.

Kingery’s power surge was a surprise in Reading this year, and many wondered if he could sustain that pace in Lehigh Valley. After all, the standout hit just eight career professional home runs in two seasons in the Phils’ system. But look no further than the 23-year-old’s second career game in Triple-A, belting two home run balls. Even if Kingery can’t keep up this frenetic pace for a second baseman, the guy can flat-out play.
