   Please give this note to Moyer - you can pitch inside every now and then but not all the time - especially when I can run to home plater faster then he can throw

   Jason, I dont really like the green hats other then St. Pattys Day. On another note, This isnt the same Jamie Moyer who pitched last season. He’s at the end of the line here. Hopefully Kris Benson will soon pay off.

   Braves have lost in extras, with the Mets loosing this is a big game for us!

   PS Hampton for the Braves had to leave a Rehab start early

    I’m a fan of the green hats. Phillies are pioneers in the green movement.

    Feliz has been the biggest disappointment this year - please start Dobbs I do not care if the pitcher is left handed, right handed, or throws the ball out his butt - but 2 DPs tonight?!?! He is killing us!

    I’m worried that Feliz will have “just enough” extra base hits this year to keep him in the lineup. Once the weather gets warm, he’s bound to hit a few home runs each month, but unfortunately it won’t be enough to make up for all the unproductive outs he produces.

    This is a big inning we need Moyer to shut them down and with 3-4-5 we need a couple four runs! Marlins loosing also - Phils in first with a W

    It’s times like this when it would be nice to have another lefty situational guy in the bullpen. I’d rather have Steve Kline face Gonzo in this spot than Durbin.

    Did anyone else see the Phillies press conference this afternoon on home plate? They announced how they were going green with the mayor and the gov. It was all a lot of crap like Mike T. said. The Eagles have been big into recycling since they got into the Linc.

    Yes that is so true. Do you know how rich youd be now if you invested in “green” construction? all the big money is moving into “green.” theyre going to guilt people into buying all the way into ethanol even though it has already caused a food shortage in the third world.

    but i digress…

    so jamie moyer picks up another loss. chris young is a solid arm but above that, other than utleys hr you didnt get much from anyone else tonight. they didnt look like they were interested in winning tonight. they never look to enthused when they trot out behind moyer though. the guy doesnt get run support sometimes but still, take a page from matt morris and retire please. you have to be able to throw the ball hard enough to not give up a homerun when they know what pitch your throwing

    I guess you could say the Phillies are pioneers in the green movement. You see a lot of green shirts and hats with the shamrocks on them at the games these days. However, the Red Sox really boast the green stuff the most. And as a fact, the Reds were officially the first to sport green unis on St. Patrick’s day in 1978.

    Some observations about tonight’s game:

    Tadahito Iguchi has come back to haunt the Phillies with FOUR hits including an RBI plus defensively turning over a beauty of a double play. I guess he’s the newest “Phillie killer”.

    Werth, on Jamie Moyer Bobblehead Night, contributed a “bobble” of his own with an ugly miscue of a catchable fly ball in CF (his 2nd error in the early going). He also went 0 for 3 with 3 K’s against a tough pitcher (Chris Young). His batting average has slipped to .278. It’s a good bet that Manuel will play Victorino tomorrow (in CF?). Also Jenkins had three hits tonight raising his BA to .265 and that could influence the manager’s decision on who plays in the outfield tomorrow. Manuel has repeatedly said he will go with the “hot” hand.

    BTW, Howard had NO strike outs tonight! Now that’s news. Seriously though, he hit the ball hard tonight with nothing to show for it except a walk. It suggest to me that he is showing patience and starting to see the ball better. Hopefully it’s a good sign.

    One other note. I’m all for saving and preserving our environment but please…. GREEN hats?! It’s a matter of taste but green is such an ugly color to have as part of a Phillies’ look. I’m seeing “red” on this issue.
