No. Maybe Kendrick, Maybe Myers. NOT Moyer, probably not eaton unless he rebounds.

someone else will have a sub 5 era in their rotation this year. but that someone isnt on the team yet.

I would say that even more than the ERA, 65 baserunners allowed in 43 innings is a pretty good indication that he hasn't been a worldbeater.

Is anyone in the rotation other than Hamels going to have a sub 5.00 era this year?

Jonathan Sanchez pitched pretty well. See the point of a minor league systems is to have good people constantly ready to come up or be a key piece in a trade EVERY SEASON. the phillies minor league sytem has been woefully inadequate despite its good spots.

anyways. JC romero gets a free pass because he has rarely let that happen this year. however, he gets no more free passes if he does it again.

adam eaton got out of some jams that couldve seen him DFA'd because he couldve given up about 8 runs but got away with less so it didnt look as bad as it couldve been.

the lineup has continued to cool off. when utley and burrell get into rough skids, theres nobody else to pick up that production. howard still is inadequate as a cleanup hitter. its beyond retarded to have him hitting cleanup. your cleanup hitter has to be your power hitter whos hitting the best at that time. lineups are fluid, to change from game to game, not to set things in stone. if you leadoff hitter struggles then he stops hitting leadoff until he stops struggling. i dont get the stubborn nature of baseball managers because they all do it. some more than others though.

It was frustrating to see JRoll pop up in the 5th after swinging at ball 4 with the bases loaded. He should have been taking all the way...so undisciplined.

Here's an example of our overrated lineup: our 1-2-3 batters going 1-2-3 in the top of the 3rd on 5 pitches. Are you kidding me??!!??

Eaton's got it all in his favor today: the lineup that can stomp people (Jimmy, Vic ... a Howard that is allegedly getting his mojo back ... Werth), and an opposing mediocre pitcher on a sub-par team.

Tim, what was that sentence you used in spring training?

"Adam Eaton is the total package of failure."

If he stinks it up today, he will prove you right. And he should be immediately demoted if that happens.
