Yeah. If they lost tonight it would be serious panic time because the washington nationals still suck. this is what i expect from the phillies when they play teams that suck. total domination. just like theyre supposed to. yes.

i want to see them knock around someone like oswalt now, that will make me feel a LOT better. i still need more pitching, but i think i can lay off that for like a day. hopefully, providing gillick doesnt make another asinine statement.

Great game tonight and definately something I think a lot of us felt like we needed to see. Where the bats have been dead the past few games, they came alive here (with the unfortunate exception of Mr. Burrell). Howard's home runs tonight had some extra bash in them which made them really exciting to see. Moyer pitched like a true veteran tonight. Watching him get out of the jams he was in was truly a lesson that Eaton could stand to learn. Even Condrey looked alright, even though he shattered the shut out, he still pitched 3 half decent innings. Where the past few days I have been rather frustrated, this was a great game all around!

Doesn't the world just seem right with Burrell's average in the low .270s?

geoff i agree with that and i would like to add another point. i like the fact that he didnt strike out on an 0-2 count. instead he lined one over the fence. confidence is what i think is key for howard. tonight i think is going to be the spark that lights this team. look out here we come.
