Its soo typical of Philthie fans to feel all high and mighty…What Utley did was disrespectful…and Im glad it got caught on tape…and this is not about Mets/Phillies its about class…which he obviously doesn’t have….
July 15th, 2008 at 9:23 pm
Philthie? F*CK YOU! haha why are you going to boo Utley? its disrespectful for Mets fans who don’t have lives to BOoO during a Home Run derby. I wouldve said the same thing!
July 15th, 2008 at 9:27 pm
I’m Glad the Yankee Stadium Faithful Boooed Him
NEW YORK Yankees Championships: 26
Philadelphia Phillies Championships : 1

July 15th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Let’s get real here and don’t take what Chase said out of context. If any of you claim never to have said that or something similar, then you are a liar. Try hitting ANY of those piches in a packed stadium and see how you would like getting booed by a bunch of idiots. Chase apologized for the fact that what he said was caught on mike. End of story…Chase = class. Phillies forever….
July 15th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
The yankees haven’t won anything since I was in 10th grade.
July 15th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
Boo-hoo, stop whining, you sissies.
We’re all adults here, and even though little kids may have been watching the game last night, they never would’ve picked up on the comment. No need to get all high and mighty, KRC88 is right.
July 15th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
Yankeewhore and NR: Fuck you
July 15th, 2008 at 9:59 pm
I find this whole situation funny. I wanna shirt.
July 15th, 2008 at 10:29 pm
(that guy)…lol. Right on brother! The Muts have so much class coming out of their asses they are used to pointing the finger at each other and everyone else. They deserve their fans.
July 15th, 2008 at 10:48 pm
I’m a big mets fan and i absolutely hate chase utley, because he is so fucking good. When a player gets booed like that its like receiving a standing ovation at home, thats the way i take it anyway. I loved what Utley did and if i were him i would’ve had the same reaction, i almost want to get one of those shirts, do they come in blue and orange?
July 15th, 2008 at 11:18 pm
Utley has more class than most MLB clubs combined.
We rarely get a show of emotion from Utley, he’s usually very reserved, stoic even. And to get a real reaction from him that was provoked by jealous Mets fans, and Yankee fans who don’t have the intelligence to realize he plays in an entirely different league, was priceless.
If you are a fan of baseball, and not just a front runner of a spoiled team, you would respect the fact that Utley is one of the most genuine and pure Baseball player to come around in a long time.
Boo? F*ck You! Damn right!
July 15th, 2008 at 11:21 pm
I can’t wait to get mine
July 16th, 2008 at 12:06 am
This isn’t even about Mets/Phillies
yanks/Phillies
It’s about New York as a City/Region/State
completely blowing goats and somehow thinking they’re #1
everything about NY sucks and Chase has the right idea.
S Philadelphia’s D
July 16th, 2008 at 12:34 am
I am really glad Chase didn’t take some chump way out and do some canned apology. He kind of pretty much said the truth, sorry if anyone who shouldn’t have heard that had to hear it, it was just a joke, it’s whatever, you’re crazy if you think grown men don’t say fuck you from time to time.
July 16th, 2008 at 2:03 am
Well put, Lauren. Now, buy a shirt.
But really, not only is Utley more of a man (and my hero) for saying it, but he’s more of a man for owning up to it. Behavior like that will make a silly incident like this pass much easier. Roger Clemens would be denying it from his grave.
July 16th, 2008 at 7:41 am
One of the issues here is the Mets/Yankees not having any class and then you read the posts from the Phillies fans - What conclusion do you think one would draw? You don’t make a statement by wearing a low class shirt around the stadium. The only statement that makes is that you don’t have any class.
In baseball, statements are made on the field. You dont’ need to say it, your team just does it and that always speaks louder than words. The fact that Mets/Yankees fans are even on this site running their mouths is because they feel threatened by the Phightens.
July 16th, 2008 at 8:18 am
you dopey phillie fans are amazingly hypocritical! am i to understand that NY fans have no class for booing chase utley, yet philly fans are admirable for throwing batteries at jd drew? for booing santa claus? for continuously being a bunch of crybaby losers? seems to me like you all have very selective memories.
by the way, if the allstar game were at CBP and david wright were introduced, he would have booed even more than utley, so what’s the freakin’ point in being upset? get over yourselves and stop trying to provide excuses for why your boy utley is a potty-mouthed fool. in case you weren’t paying attention, papelbon, manny, ortiz, drew, and billy wagner were all booed by the yankee faithful as well, so stop trying to play victim and imply chase was the only player getting booed.
wouldn’t it be more appropriate if the shirt said “ph*ck it”?
July 16th, 2008 at 8:36 am
Of course David Wright would have been boo’d and likely, if he was mic’d up, you would have heard him say “Fuck you” — and then some smart entrepreneurs would make a t-shirt of it. Sully’s Tees in Boston has made a mint off of gimmicky, offensive sports shirts. It was a television / sports blooper. This stuff happens every day. When you see outtakes from the Bill O’Reily show and he’s cursing, is Bill O’Reily “classless”. Get off your soapbox.
Come sit in our stadium for 10 minutes when you sloppy, greasy, overweight Mets slobs take your mom’s 1994 Toyota down the turnpike to a division game. The BS that my wife and my son have had to put up with when you front-running jerks come to town is unbelievable. Here’s some Mets fan “class” for you:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=A_ll7OocYqk
Just a heads up, the Mets haven’t won anything since 1986 and in the past five years lost the NLCS and are responsible for the most historic collapse in baseball history. Stop riding the Yankees’ coat tails with the “your city hasn’t won anything” hot air. You’re always going to be #2 in town and have no right to confuse the Yankees success with anything that the Muts have ever done.
July 16th, 2008 at 8:39 am
Your point is invalid Nancy Drew is hated from Philly right through to the west coast not forgetting in the south and mid-west. His reputation in baseball makes Perzinsky look loved and a short stint of relative success in Boston is not going to undo the damage of years of his antics with every team he’s been with prior.
Find a dictionary and look up the word cry-baby because you’ll find you beloved Mets listed as an example of how to use the word. Is it possible for you degenerates to talk about some element of the rivalry like why Reyes and Rollins are having bad years or why Church and Werth have been so vital to our respective teams? No aparently not you short sighted incoherent douchebags, here’s an idea: Go into politics where your drooling excuse for statements are welcomed.
July 16th, 2008 at 8:46 am
Don’t forget, when talking about classly baseball players, Jose Reyes’ name has to be brought up. Just about the classiest baseball player that has ever had a temper tantrum in the infield. Untuck your Jersey, scream at the manager, and stomp off the field. He drinks his tea with his pinky extended and never eats the main course with his salad fork I’ve heard as well. Classy.
July 16th, 2008 at 9:09 am
New York is so freakin’ over-rated in terms of being a city and with it teams (Hell the Super Bowl Champions play in NEW JERSEY!) that one should be surprise it doesn’t happen more often.
July 16th, 2008 at 9:21 am
You may want to remove Chase’s number from the back, it sounds like you are telling Chase to F off.
July 16th, 2008 at 9:29 am
looks like i struck a nerve. it hurts most to hear the truth, i suppose.
Jeff: first of all, i am no front-runner. i’ve been a met fan my entire life and have taken a lot of crap over the years from skankee fans. secondly, d-wright never would have dropped an f-bomb on live tv. he’s too media savvy and CLASSY to pull a boneheaded stunt like that. thirdly, cite all the stories you want of mets fan-on-phillie fan abuse, but it’s definitely a two way street in which i’ve been involved in all too many times. play the “good guy” routine all you want, but the truth is philly fans of all sorts are the least classiest bunch of degenerates around. How do you have the audacity to poke fun at jose reyes when i remember him sliding into second base and getting shaken up @ CBP and listening to philly fans CHEERING him getting hurt. that right there is the lowest of the low. you must be proud. lastly, it may be true the mets haven’t won the WS since ‘86, but we have at least made it to a WS and 4 NLCS’ since then. your beloved phillies haven’t won jackshit since 1980 and make the playoffs about as frequently as a solar eclipse. what a moron.
July 16th, 2008 at 9:52 am
Dude seriously what are you doing on here? Philly fans are the most self deprecating in sports so when you come on here you’ve got a pretty good chance of getting us talking about where are organisation has gone wrong in the past and now, what point are you actually trying to make because your the only one seemingly like a complete moron.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:03 am
metsR#1: Remind me whose in first?
This whole class discussion is bullshit, it is a two way street and yes I am a Phillies fan. Maybe you as an individual don’t show disrespect toward another fan but it’s not about you, its about two teams, two cities, one rivalry. You boo when someone from the opposing team is introduced and you cheer when someone from the opposing team is hurt. It happens, deal with it. There’s no class in this rivalry, but there is respect.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:04 am
I think Utley said it cause he didn’t expect Yankee fans to boo him.. since they aren’t rivals.. He shouldn’t have said it with a LIVE MICROPHONE on… but oh well.
its not a big deal.. Any Mets fans on here touch themselves at night..
Check this out..
From the Daily News:
Utley caused a minor stir in Philadelphia when his response to the booing - “Boo? [Bleep] you” - was inadvertently picked up by a live ESPN microphone on Monday night. A clip of the remark was posted on the Internet within an hour, and, by the end of the Derby, a couple of entrepreneurial Phillies fans had emblazoned T-shirts with the phrase.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:07 am
We won a WS in 1980 made an appearance in 83 and 93 to the world series, and in 2007 we were in the 1st tround of the post season. Not too far behind the Muts on that one, and our salaries are much less.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:08 am
haha nice, you should sell these outside the stadium.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:12 am
Remember the shit that Philly fans got for booing Kobe during the NBA all star game? Why aren’t faggot Met fans being treated the same by the national media?
July 16th, 2008 at 10:14 am
Off all the people to blow home field advantage for the Mets this year it has to be a Philly.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:16 am
mets08champs…Wagner blew the game you fucking tool bag.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:17 am
I think you have to make the playoffs first, isnt that how it works? Playoffs then World Series. Or did they change the rule on me? Seriously, get your head out of your ass and be realistic for once in your life, Mets suck dick.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:18 am
Off all people complaining about the NL not having home field advantage, its a Mets fan. hahahahahahahahahahahaha
July 16th, 2008 at 10:23 am
Well I do not understand why the Philly fan is worried they are going to be looking up in the division at the mets by next week.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:24 am
Thats funny considering Wagner blew the save, do you want to talk about if potential damange was done last night to Lidge and Wagner’s season… No you just want to put in your 2 cents like your point carries any weight here, is it possible to get a comment from a Mets fan that doesn’t think the height of entertainment in life is a bar fight?
July 16th, 2008 at 10:28 am
I doubt it’ll do anything to Lidge’s season. He knew it was because of his arm being tired from 3 straight hours from warming up.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:29 am
I’m joking its going to be a great race between the Phillies and Mets the 2nd half. It was actually Ugla that lost the game for the Mets or the Phills. I would of kept Utley in longer myself.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:30 am
Good to see a true Philly guy like Utley tell those obnoxious New Yorkers off. Too bad no one on the Mets has any B@lls to do that in Philly, then again Philly fans aren’t sissies like New Yorkers, so that player wouldn’t make it out of the stadium alive.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:30 am
Yeah, speaking of Uggla, can you please give him the Jeltz award Tim? Hi, I’m Dan Uggla, I’m going to GIDP like Carlos Ruiz with a man on 1st and 3rd.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:31 am
They should not be worried about getting all star’s in the game until they have a lead. So they can keep the starters in longer in case things like this happen.
July 16th, 2008 at 10:31 am
It’s amusing how much you Phillies fans hate the Mets. I really don’t even understand it. It’s not that big a rivalry other than basically last year. Mets fans hate the Yankees and even the Braves much more.
So Chase got booed by a few (and if you listen, there were barely any boos) fans at Yankee Stadium. Did you hear the boos for all the Red Sox? Chase’s was not nearly on the same level. Talk about making a big deal out of nothing.
Enjoy your shirts though…
July 16th, 2008 at 11:00 am
I don’t think that anyone is making a big deal about the fact Chase was booed…he is a great player and understandably disliked by jealous competitors fans.
These shirts are about what he did when he was booed…I think it was awesome to see Chase’s reaction. Haha…the most votes in the NL and he is booed? It’s funny.
I just ordered a shirt.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:11 am
Chase just said what everyone was thinking about New York and their fans, he should be applauded. Mutt fans are just jealous cause they don’t have a clutch player like an Utley, which is obvious.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:14 am
metscollapse07 yes they do…David Wright.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:15 am
Where does your manager threatening to stab your short stop rank on the class-o-meter?
Of course I remember when Phillies fans cheered Reyes getting hurt. Remember when Mets fans cheered Lastings Milledge getting hurt the night before?
Honestly, this is sports. I don’t know why you’re bringing class into this. I’m not defending Philly, I’m saying that you borish guidos from New Jersey and Long Island are no better so stop acting like it.
I don’t think anyone here cares that Chase was boo’d, we just think it was funny how he handled it.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:21 am
I do not hate Utley. I think Utley, Howard, Rollins & Burrell & Victorino are great players. It’s the other players that are garbage.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:39 am
I have a tiny knob and know nothing about baseball, well no suprise I’m a Mets fan then
July 16th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
“Its soo typical of Philthie fans to feel all high and mighty…What Utley did was disrespectful…and Im glad it got caught on tape…and this is not about Mets/Phillies its about class…which he obviously doesn’t have….”
dont be such a pussy. cant handle an f bomb? first of all he had every right to be shocked to hear boos when he was one of the most voted for people in the game. second of all he didnt know there was a mic there. fuck you.
July 16th, 2008 at 3:26 pm
Wasn’t he wearing the microphone on his jersey?
Anybody that is offended by the F-bomb needs to wake up… and anybody that is really glad he did it needs to get a life..
Im not really sure how this became a big issue, he would have been better served just telling his friends and stuff later that the fans were Mother F*ckers, instead he got caught on camera.. its happened before, it will happen again..
Listen to NFL games and tell me you don’t pick up a couple curses a game..
July 16th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
i dont get how someone saying fuck you could be this funny that you have to make t-shirts out of it. i dont get whats soooooooo hysterical about it. i cant even imagine how dull some of your lives are that you get so amused by this. (scratches head)
July 16th, 2008 at 4:36 pm
It’s ESPN’s fault for not originally running it on a delay. after that happened they did, and you could hear other guys getting bleeped out. chase said fuck when he swung and didnt get a homerun. ESPN should have foreseen this. that being said, Chase is the man.
July 16th, 2008 at 4:41 pm
First, it’s not ESPN’s fault. It is Utley’s fault.
Second, while it is Utley’s fault, it is not a big deal. It was a mistake and he apologized. I am sure he is not a terrible person.
Third, while it is not a big deal, the fact that this site and Phillies fans are promoting it is dispicable. If you want respect that act like you deserve it. I’m sure the parent of child sitting behind your F you shirt will appreciate it. Really, way to show class people.
Fourth, don’t get too scared Phillies fans but here come the Mets!!!

He wasn’t insulting Yankee fans he was insulting Met’s fan. Why would Yankee fans boo him??
July 16th, 2008 at 10:14 pm
There were not many met fans there. We just enjoy booing teams that think there really great and have not done anything besides getting swept the first time they make the post season in a long time. I hate the mets and they do alot of talking but they at least have an all around better team then the Phillies.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:26 pm
You know it’s a slow night when you have Mets fans, pretending to be Yankees fans, just to hate on the Phillies.
Chase Utley HOF.
July 16th, 2008 at 11:45 pm
Utley HFO? Highly Overrated F*ck?
July 17th, 2008 at 8:59 am
Dear Yankee fans,
You have no place here as a Yankee fan, except to try to start dumb arguments, but since you guys can’t talk shit on the Devil Rays or Red Sox right now your bring your bullshit over here. You guys have done nothing but under achieve for the majority of the decade, so shut the fuck up about the Phillies and stop hating on Utley because Cano will never be half the man he is.
July 17th, 2008 at 10:31 am
Utley HFO? Highly Overrated F*ck?
good one george lopez
July 17th, 2008 at 10:45 am
We don’t have lives because we think this whole thing is funny and made shirts? It’s the Mets fans coming over and getting all riled up about the whole thing who don’t have lives. Why are you commenting on our shirts? You don’t like them go back to your own blogs and post about it. Facts are: we are in first place and Chase Utley got the most votes in the NL. He is one of the best guys in baseball, that is the only reason he was booed and it was ridiculous.
July 17th, 2008 at 10:52 am
>> Highly Overrated F*ck?
Ut oh!! You’re not being classy!
July 17th, 2008 at 3:21 pm
Speaking of class, wasn’t the last Mets team to win a championship a bunch of crack and coke addicts who slept with each other’s wives?
Class act!
July 18th, 2008 at 9:26 am
Come on guys. Chase is #1 in my book, but this t-shirt is not something I’d want my kids to see everyone wearing at the park. Can’t someone come up with something a little more creative?
July 20th, 2008 at 3:21 am
This is pathetic, obviously mets& yankees fans came on here to start a problem, this thread is for phillie & chase utley fans, if you dont like it go back to your own sites.
July 24th, 2008 at 9:07 am
[…] a good note, Phillies Nation’s “Boo? F*ck you!” shirt made national […]

mets are homos. well done chasingutley and that guy Says.
August 28th, 2008 at 9:29 am
Booing is part of the game. If the players can’t handle it, they need to take up a different profession. What Utley did was embarassing and classless.
Phillies suck btw Mets are on top and #1…

who made it to the nlds, or the nlcs? and for the people who say utley has no class, your totally wrong. if someone says boo to anyone of your favorite players - you’d tell them to f*uck off everytime someone said their name. and for the people who say utleys dirty, only one thing is dirty in this conversation.. yankee stadium for one, and possibly every new yorker attending that game.
I love you utley.

Chase Utley’s comment was low class and set a poor example for the thousands of children who heard it live or on television…he showed a complete lack of character in what he did today
November 1st, 2008 at 12:58 am
Chase’s words may have been inappropriate but let’s get real. He articulated what was on every deprived Philly fan’s mind given our Championship starved mentality and utter lack of respect shown to the Phillies by every national sports media company. Everyone picked the Brewers to win, then they picked the Dodgers, then the Rays. The Phils were dissed at every turn. So while the fact is that his phrase was heard by some people who became offended, the VAST majority of people hearing it responded with a resounding YEEEAAAH!!! And if a celebration 28 years in the making doesn’t warrant a jubilant F-bomb here and there, I don’t know what does! The Phillies deserve this Trophy, the City deserves this Championship, and the fans deserve to celebrate being World F*cking Champions!!! And EVERY player in this city has better than average ‘character’ ESPECIALLY Chase Utley.
