Since when did Philly have an arena team? If that team gets a parade that will upset my commute to work next week I'll be highly upset.

Any of you feeling better about our OFFENCE? We came back today when I thought it was another loss.....Blanton seems to give up a shitload of runs....I cant see him as the answer to anything,he's not even an innings eater as advertised, nice going Giles.......

Brian..he wasnt dogging it. He thought it was a foul ball. Hes a pitcher too. an american league pitcher most of his life. its not like he he bats and runs bases everyday. and to his credit, it was close to the foul pole..he still should of ran, but to his excuse, hes a pitcher. Now if that was reyes, you know he'd be pulled from the game.

Phil, I think by saying Werth has the potential to be a .300/30HR/40SB player, you're making him out to be the most well-rounded player in all of baseball. Arod doesn't even put up those kind of stats. I just think for a 29 year old if Werth had that kind of potential 1) he would have reached it by now, 2) he would not be playing for his 4th different organization by now. I can very much see werth as a .280/20HR/20SB player if given everyday playing time, and there's nothing wrong with that. I do think, though, you should calm down on giving Werth Hall of Fame stats until he can prove himself as an everyday player.

Did anyone else see Santana dogging it on a long single hit down the line in today's Mets game? They let him stay in the game...that's the difference between the Mets and the Phillies.

Bonez, Werth has much more speed than D-Wright, so yes I think he could steal more bags than Wright. D-Wright is much better than a .300 hitter. Jayson Wright could be exactly a .290-.300 hitter. Wright is having a bad year for him, and he is still going to hit close to .300. From what I heard during batting practice Jayson Wright hits balls further than anyone, even Howard. Do I think he's better than David Wright? No. Do I think he has potential to be one of the best players on the Phillies? Yes.
