Wow, Jimmy Rollins was right. Half of this site wanted Myers out of here not too long ago now you want him to stay because he has heated up. Is it too hard for you guys too not change how you feel about a player nightly? Support the team and all its players through and through and not act like you've been with them the whole time when they do well. Throw them under the bus when they're slumping and stand by their side when they have a good game. Really? There are only a handful of people that post on here that dont flip flop on here week after week and I consider myself one of them. Geoff, no plan to blow up the team today? Or maybe that's because we won last night.

yeah it could get you a decent young outfielder on a team with lots of depth. IF you eat part of all of the rest of jenkins contract.

He's said before he doesn't want to go anywhere else.. If they can add a top-starter in the offseason, and Myers is your #3 next year, Blanton your #4, Moyer #5.. that would be awesome.. Carrasco, Kendrick, Happ there if anyone goes down, or maybe fish Happ around and see what you can get for him in the offseason.. Happ and Jenkins could get you something, right?

yeah. it was highly gratifying to see myers go the distance. he needed that. the phillies needed that. its a trash team hes shutting out, but earlier in the season he couldnt get ANYONE out not even the a team as bad as the ants. i know he can bea frontline starter if he chooses to dedicate himself to it. i think hes finally realizing theres no reason to go be a closer somewehre else. he has one year 12mm left on his deal, just play it out and see what happens. still, go get ANOTHER top line starter in teh offseason, and if myers is on target then you really have a nice rotation next year.

but for now, just keep churning out good starts and i think hell be fine. i wonder if hell stay here when his contract isup??? cant get a read on him. i think hell want to stay actually.

Polanco, at that time, was a utility infielder.. who didn't want to play 3b, and made it known that he didn't want to play 3b,
he was always a pretty good hitter, but not somebody that was going to get you ELITE PROSPECTS in return..

AND Urbina was a back-end bullpen guy with lots of experience. I just looked up his numbers, career 3.45 ERA, 237 Saves... thats pretty good, it just didn't work out

Yea i said that the other day, that Rollins creating a stir has made it a non-issue if Howard, Burrell whoever else struggle a little longer, the spotlight is on Rollins. so hopefully they all snap out of this soon.. and Rollins will look smart for taking so much pressure off of his teammates..

I think most of the guys on here are pretty consistent in their views, either steadily positive, or steadily negative.. day-to-day.. we all just want to see them win
