Gamenight: Brewers (83-63) At Phillies (79-67)
Posted by Tim Malcolm, Thu, September 11, 2008 06:09 PM
Headline: Four-game set could determine Phils’ fate
The Major Players: Jamie Moyer, Chase Utley, Pat Burrell, Ryan Madson, JC Romero, Ben Sheets, Corey Hart, Rickie Weeks
The Venue: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia, Pa.
The Number: 3.5 games behind (Mets) NL East; 4 games behind (Brewers) Wild Card
Every game from hereon is starting to take “must-win” status, and tonight is no joke. The Brewers are in for an important four-game set, and Jamie Moyer comes out on three-days rest to try and beat the Crew. He has never pitched on three-days rest for the Phils, the last time doing it in 2004, a seven-run slaughter in five innings.
Ben-eath The Sheets: Ben Sheets hasn’t faced the Phillies this season. The goal: Be patient. Take strikes and balls early and get him into high counts. By the seventh inning, he sould be raring for a bad inning. In the seventh hitters are .351 against him. In the sixth, they’re .292.
Not A Prince: Prince Fielder is hitting .176 in September.
Good When Close: The Brewers are 28-14 in one-run games
Phillies: Jamie Moyer (13-7) 3.64 ERA
Brewers: Ben Sheets (13-7) 2.82 ERA
Gametime: 7:05 p.m. EST
Weather: 71, cloudy
Lineup:
MLB TV
MLB Gameday Audio
MLB Gameday
Your gamenight beer: I feel good about the Phils chances tonight. Really. Sheets is the kind of righty the Phils can hit, despite how good he has been this season. Moyer should have another great game. Add it up and it’s a win, baby. Drink Southern Tier’s Raspbery Porter. It’s a raspberry beer. So I love it. Eat some pork loin with this, kids.
Go Phillies!

To be fair, 2004 was his worst ERA year this millenium.
September 11th, 2008 at 6:40 pm
The Phils need to win this series, or else the season may be in jeopardy
September 11th, 2008 at 6:44 pm
Duh….
September 11th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Thank god we wont have to play in the Shea BANDBOX next year…it was too easy to hit home runs there..
September 11th, 2008 at 6:46 pm
Picture this, once the Phillies lose, you’ll be 4.5 games behind the Mets and 5 games behind the Brewers
September 11th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
If the Phillies lose. Remember the Jamie Moyer that owned the Mets on Sunday? He’s the same Jamie Moyer that will be pitching against the Brewers tonight.
September 11th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Hey Bandbox what are you talking about? Citizen’s bank park is much smaller.
September 11th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
I’m thinking I’m gonna need more than beer tonight. Rum and cokes will do.
September 11th, 2008 at 6:55 pm
Huge Series! Gotta take 3/4. Sheets proved that his injury was nothing last time out. Gonna be a tough game. Go Phils!
September 11th, 2008 at 6:59 pm
How about a bottle of whiskey? That might suit better.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:03 pm
I dont have a good feelling about Moyer on 3 days rest..He is what..46?
But I am hoping..we still have a chance…Go Phils
September 11th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
Have to hold on hope that Moyer uses the upper hand that the Brewers haven’t seen much of him.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Utley striking out there pretty much summarizes the season.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
There we go big man, and Kalas gets into it. Beautiful.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
choke utley comes in the clutch again
first pitch strike looking, then K with runner in scoring position
ugh
September 11th, 2008 at 7:20 pm
YEAH RYAN!!!
September 11th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
Man, did we need that. You’ve GOT to get the first few runs in the situation the Phils are in. It’s so nice that Howard and Rollins are heating up at such a crucial time. Now if only someone could talk to Burrell.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
The big man comes though…I had a feeling the big man would hit one off Sheets because Sheets throws alot of fastball.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
Anyone else read Howard’s lips when he hit that??
It looked like he said, “BOOM! F*CK YOU, GEOFF!!!”
…I can’t confirm that of course, but that is what it looked like.
P.S. I like how Utley’s called 3rd was about 3-4 inches inside off the plate
September 11th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
1) pat doesnt deserves to be in the lineup.
2) when will everyone realize i suck this year
3) CJJ Henry had the stupidest comment i have ever seen at the top of the thread
September 11th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Haha Don M. “Boom, outta here.” – Brett Myers
September 11th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
This is one theatrical umpire on called third strikes.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
Who has been saying trade Howard and Rollins lately….How about now?
September 11th, 2008 at 7:36 pm
“STEEEEEERIKE THHHRREEEEE. BOOM!” said the umpire.
alight, im getting off this thing, LETS GO PHILS!!!!
September 11th, 2008 at 7:44 pm
You know who’s our MVP? Jamie Moyer
September 11th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
Moyer is such a finesse pitcher. A maestro.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
I’m looking at Gameday, how on earth is this Brewers team 20 games above .500 with these averages. I guess maybe because their so good in close games?
September 11th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
who else saw that dude throw the ball back in he field!?!?!? LOLOLOL
September 11th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
Moyer is truly a class act.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
Yeah, I thought he looked like he regretted throwing it back.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
NEPA:I was looking on there earlier and said the same thing myself.
September 11th, 2008 at 7:57 pm
phils blow
September 11th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Everyone has been saying Howard sucks trade him for pitching. I’ve even heard he’s an asshole on here. The guy has been most of the offense for the past 2 weeks.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
It’s great when our Mets fans add such insightful and intelligent comments as “phils blow”.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
You know, Ruiz may not have a good bat, but he does have a great gun for an arm. Nice strike out/throw ‘em out.
And RiVLez, I’m sure you’ve seen with the Mets fanbase that there are always fans in every bunch who want to see certain players gone for various reasons, most of the time just being a scape goat out of frustration.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
i hear u boys didnt treat my man taco bella well
September 11th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
You guys can’t live without him. You guys don’t have anyone else who will drive in all those runs.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
Yea, like Delgado for the first few months of the season. They wanted him dead. Now all you hear is MVP chants. It’s like that with every team, except St. Louis of course.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
I’m all about having Howard here. Please don’t count me in that miniority who want to get rid of Howard.
Btw, you don’t see doubles like that everyday!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Howard’s an animal right now.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:08 pm
Oh, Sarge switched it up from “Another biscuit for breakfast” to another piece of bacon. What a fatass.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
taco bella 4 life
September 11th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
How long is Gary Matthews contract? Listening to him be Captain Obvious for 3 innings a game is brutal at times.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
Dang, they’re hitting well off of Sheets here.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
congrats pussies, you might be within 3 by nights end
September 11th, 2008 at 8:14 pm
Why don’t you like Sarge? I think he’s pretty entertaining.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Haha, that was pretty funny.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
His voice isn’t a great broadcasting voice and his insights are pointing out the blatantly obvious. He’ll say things like “The way you win is by scoring more runs then the other team” and “To put the ball in play, you must swing while at bat.”
September 11th, 2008 at 8:17 pm
I think that’s funny, hence, entertaining.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:18 pm
I guess it’s entertaining when joking around, but 3 innings a game is just excrutiating.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
brewers doing a horrendous job at the plate tonight – swinging wildly at first and second pitches. horrible.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Different strokes, I guess SJ.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Though Georgie, it’s not nearly as bad as listening to the ESPN or FOX crew when they have our games. I’m sure we could all toast to that.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
The funniest thing of all season was probably the time T. Mac got caught up doing something getting to the booth and Sarge had to handle play-by-play for like literally 2 plays and he was like stuttering and fumbling over all his words. T. Mac got back in the booth and Sarge just said Thank god and started laughing. Hopefully someone else remembers that.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
Oh yes, toasting as we speak!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
How can someone that stupid get a broadcasting job. If the Mets guys said shit like that I would probably not even watch it cause it’s just annoying and retarded.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
I constantly say that Sarge got promoted to Captain…. Captain Obvious often. But, now I find his obvious anecdotes on baseball homely and amusing. I actually enjoy him now.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
RYAN HOWARD
September 11th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
RiVLez, there is no doubt that Matthews is beloved as a former player and he’s a fantastic guy. He is a very smart baseball man also. Just broadcasting is not his forte.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:25 pm
Utley seems to be striking out a lot in runner on 3rd less than 2 out situations.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
Utley has to be hurt. And if he is, he should shut it down. He’s hurting the team at this point.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
Gotta get that run home Utley!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
haha, I missed that one NEPA, but that’s what I mean, and agree with Rob, when Sarge first started I thought he was really bad, but now I love how he overenunciates when he gets excited, and he is the first one to laugh at himself.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Come on Pat. One time.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Man, Burrell gave that a great ride. Cameron did a great job tracking that down.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
I wish i could be watching this game right now.. days off suck!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
I feel like giving Pat a hug.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
No blaming Pat there.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
NEPA, absolutely, Pat hit it to one of the deepest parts of the park up against the wall and Cameron played it perfectly.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
Utley is hurting.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
No blaming Pat, but this is a microcosm of what Rob Neyer said about the Phils in his blog: the offense is at fault (overall) on the season. You have a triple a walk and a single in the same inning and don’t score once.
It’s terrible baseball. And a big reason why they’re going to score nearly 150 runs fewer this season compared to 2007. That’s a run per game. Yikes.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
Since when did Comcast Sportsnet have this magical pitch tracker?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Utley is injured, he should have been on the DL months ago.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Burrell needs to buy some pump sneaks to catch that
September 11th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
tonite is the debut of the magical pitch tracker on comcast.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Rob, the more amazing thing is how tall Burrell is. He’s a beast, but clearly has no “game.”
September 11th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
They need to force him to the DL. Manuel is just terrible at making these types of decisions. I really hope to see someone else here next season.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
The pitch tracker is brand new. What, were they sitting on the technology?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
So how long beforel Comcast Sportsnet introduces the Burger King hot zone?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:38 pm
Moyer’s playing his head games with the hitters, cracks me up.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Is anyone else not able to get on any MLB site?
I have tried everything related and get nothing.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
Prince Fielder is a beast.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
I knew this fat man would homer
September 11th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
I’ll bet the ground shakes when Fielder rounds the bases.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
I’m on MLB Gameday, but have been since like 6:45.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:41 pm
It will be something a little more cheezier than Burger King strike zone. More like the Cherry Hill Triplex strikezone…
…I’m glad Prince Fielder decided to actually show up today, what a slob. As long as they super glue Chad Durbins ass too the bench so he can’t make it onto the mound to pitch they may hold on to this
September 11th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
5 and 2/3 aint gonna cut it tonight – especially with our overused pen. i smell trouble.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
I can see that runner being left at third coming back to haunt the Phils. Seems like it always does.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
Rob, so does that mean we’ll have a visit soon by the Friendly Nissan Giant?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Why Madsen now?! Just trying to burn up the pen again I guess…
September 11th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
I absolutely knew that them gagging in the bottom of the 5th would lead directly to Milwaukie scoring top 6. It always seems to happen that way.
What a night for Moyer – he is just fantastic.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
I finally got it to work. My Zone Alarm was blocking it. Corrected
September 11th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Hey Rob, better watch that talk, Joe Durbin just showed up. He’s actually Chad Durbin’s father, my ass.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Cherry Hill Nissan, the friendly Nissan giant!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Jesus, everyone here is so negative lately….
September 11th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Moyer threw 117 pitches three days ago. The Man is 45 years old and throwing on short rest. Give him a break. 5.2 with 3 allowed is great against that offense. If you thought he was going 7 or 8, you haven’t been paying attention.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
hell of a start from moyer on 3 days rest. glad to see the phils get some offense going against the best pitcher they’ll be going up against this series. keep it going guys!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
Kyle, I wanted to see Moyer stay in there and try to finish the inning.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
I applaud Moyer for making it this long into the 6th. He manned up big time and I tip my cap to him.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
I was hoping the nissan giant could square off against the ‘don’t bring money’ guy from the triplex. They are like the phillies – mets rivalry of Car Dealerships in Cherry Hill.
So why aren’t you here yet?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Moyer did a good job. Your a moron if you think not.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Moyer is the man. I admire him.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Wish the car dealerships had those kind of rivalries here, but I’m near the Turnersville Automall and they’re just all lumped together.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
If anyone gives Moyer a hard time for tonight’s start then they don’t know that they’re talking about. He pitched a hell of a game on 3 days rest.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
I love it when people cannot believe a father is actually on this site.
I have not been able to get on Phillies Nation blog for fear of a heart attach.
I spoke to Chad a few days ago, and he sore.
I think they all are as they were used pretty heavily during the most of the season.
No excuse, but I cannot watch.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Carlos Ruiz and Pedro Feliz on fire…!! I like that
September 11th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Holy Chooch.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Good job Ruiz and Feliz for getting one of those back for Moyer. He deserves a win tonight, no ifs ands or buts.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
Ruiz! (Now would have been the time to PH for Moyer)
September 11th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
So any predictions for the rest of the season!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:49 pm
I’m sorry Joe, but it is difficult to believe. Nothing against you.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
There aren’t any sweet mascots for dealerships in Philly to do battle. So all that we have is Cherry Hill Triplex Guy vs. Cherry Hill Nissan Giant.
And that’s ok with me.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
here we go
September 11th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
why did madson hiot?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:51 pm
I get the feeling this umpire practices ringing people up on called third strikes in the mirror. He is so theatrical. Wonder if he’s preparing for the MLB annual Umpire Talent Show.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
I feel for you guys. Watching the bullpen go to pieces when it has been so strong is not fun!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
I didn’t know J-roll was our best hitter with runners in scoring position… He’s our lead-off guy>!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Anyway, thought I would say hello, but just got home from work.
Phoenix time!
Got to eat!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
Madson hit because he hasn’t been used as much lately. Just can’t bring a guy in for a couple pitches and let him go with 3 full innings left. Like it or not, Madson has been relatively reliable in the 6th and 7th innings lately.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
It feels weird to say it, but man I don’t feel all that comfortable with Utley up there now.
Come on Chase!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
I agree with SJ Mike. There are 3 full innings left
September 11th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
My bad! Werth is up! Go Werth!
September 11th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Madson hit because we need someone in the bullpen to go longer than 1 inning. And they aren’t going to throw wes walrond or whomever to go out there and blow this lead. Charlie is going to use the guys who got him here.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
I think he should trick out his uniform for that talent show, maybe some sequins?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
How long has it been since Utley’s last HR?
September 11th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Georgie, that would be pretty sweet.
3 more innings. Moyer pitched brilliantly with guts going on short rest and challenged hitters who can mash. Time to step it up, guys.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
howard 44 coming up next half innin
September 11th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
Utley needs a rest, he looks wasted.
September 11th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
joe in case you read later, i think if the phils sweep this series they make the playoffs. if they win 3-1, it’ll come right down to the last game of the season and could go any way. we’ll see what happens!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Houston up 2-0….
September 11th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
jimmy has an extra bounce in his step tonite, and it looks like Howard is losing weight and moving better.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:05 pm
Good inning for Madson
September 11th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
I like Rollins hustle tonight. Even though he was out on that bloop single that he tried to stretch to 2, that’s the kind of play we need. And that force out at 2nd to end the 6th, he almost beat that out.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
So far so good, but we still gotta get though the dreadful 8th inning.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:09 pm
I think I will mute and blindfold for the dreaded 8th.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
UTLEY NEEDS A BREAK
September 11th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
Man Pat the Bat is definitly back to himself,i don’t think it’s a good idea to bring him back…Alright here we go 8th inning.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:17 pm
utley looks like he would benefit from a diet of greasy cheeseburgers and fries for a while.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:18 pm
8th inning…ah! I wanna turn off my tv
September 11th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Oh, shit, now I’m muting tv and covering eyes.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Our season is on the line, pretty much
September 11th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
Brad needs to go 2 here. I do not like Madsen facing their best hitters.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:22 pm
I really dislike the idea of putting Lidge for 2 innings
Madson is looking solid so far
September 11th, 2008 at 9:25 pm
I hope I’m wrong, belive me Manny.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
Great job Madson! Clap clap clap
September 11th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
*believe*
September 11th, 2008 at 9:28 pm
Madson was solid tonight. Scott Eyre needs to get one out here or I DO BRING in Lidge for Hart.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:33 pm
Eyre couldn’t get Fielder…now its Chad Durbin…too much drama for an inning
September 11th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
Man now it’s up to Durbin and he’s been horrible lately…I can’t stand these 8th innings.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:34 pm
This is the worst managerial mistake ever. I really hope Chad does it, BUT WHY NOT BRING IN LIDGE FOR FOUR OUTS WITH YOUR SEASON ON THE GOD DAMN LINE!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
YEA! 8th’s over!!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
That was all luck. YOU save Lidge to face their worst hitters while using a mediocre pitcher for the better hitters with runners on base. Just awful managing.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:37 pm
Thank God that’s over.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
This is far from the worst managerial mistake ever. Lidge is way better in the 9th and in a traditional save situation. Luckily Chad Durbin saved the day.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
It turned out to be a good move by Charlie. It’s also the type of thing that can get a guy like Chad Durbin back on track.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
HAHAHAHAHAHA MAN that was HILARIOUS!!! Fielder looked like a big fat whale on the floor and Victorino trying to run away…HAHAA
September 11th, 2008 at 9:40 pm
good stuff from the bullpen this game so far. eyre really battled fielder in there, didn’t have his best slider tonight, still nearly got him out though. beautiful job by straight bourbon chad durbin to finish the inning with one pitch. great to see victorino lead off the 8th with a base hit, and what a leap over prince!!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
haha, Vic jumped up like he was sprung from a trap!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Chad durbin … 1 out of 4 isn’t too bad
September 11th, 2008 at 9:43 pm
TRADITIONAL SAVE? What the hell is that? A Goose GOssage save? A Mariano Rivera save? I want my best damn pitcher in there with the game on the line in the 8th against the heart of their lineup. If he hits one off lidge you tip your cap, if it comes off durbin you’ll wonder what if.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:43 pm
the brewers gave cholly that idea, he never would’ve done it on his own
September 11th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
I’m happy to see this kind of play for the Phillies!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
GREAT PLAY!!!!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:44 pm
Now this is fun baseball!!!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:46 pm
I was wondering if they’d do that, well done Phils!

A 9th inning save with a 1-3 run lead. Lidge has pitched great in those situations, why screw with him now? Just because we don’t have a real set-up guy doesn’t mean we should overuse Lidge.

Ruiz is .455 in his last 7. And that squeeze was marvelous

Jesus, Durbinator, you really are without. Have you been paying attention at all? Overuse him! Shit we’ve underused him!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Speaking of squeeze, I mentally do that to Lidge’s butt whenever he pitches.
September 11th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
How have we underused him?
Don’t you remember that he made over 100 pitches warming up at the all-star game? He wasn’t the same for weeks. We should be careful not to overuse him if you want him to pitch his best. Not having a setup man is the problem and using Lidge in the 8th isn’t the answer. If we use Lidge in the 8th he probably won’t be available for the next day.

AND….brad lidge is awesome!
September 11th, 2008 at 9:54 pm
Whew, I can breathe now….
September 11th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
Stop with the crying. It’s a 4 out save: See Papelbon, Jonathan. Rivera, Mariano, etc…
We need him to be a 4 out man at this point in the season. There are 15 games left and any lead we have has to be locked down. Who cares about tomorrow, worry about winning today at this point.

phils bloww
September 11th, 2008 at 10:03 pm
Maybe for 15 days but what if he gets tired and then blows a game in the playoffs?
After the Pat Burrell situation the Phillies number 2 concern must be to get a set-up man. I felt more comfortable with Tom Gordon in the 8th…

Georgie, you’re not. I knew. You mentioned several times on Sunday about how your husband was a Rams fan so you were hiding upstairs or something like that.
