Your gamenight beer: Visions of October are jumping through our heads, so tonight we go with Brooklyn Beer Co.’s Oktoberfest. Of course we should take it a game at a time, but any time is a good time for Octoberfest. For dinner, have a heaping bowl of chili.
Go Phillies!

This game is like what happens when an immovable object meets an unstoppable force.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:07 pm
Allright over used madden 2007 comments
September 19th, 2008 at 7:11 pm
Haha, I don’t have Madden 2007.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Good start getting 2 runs right out of the shute.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
Its in there and madden likes to say that every 2 plays.
I didn’t know buckner and wohlers are on the marlins?
September 19th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
Nice start Phillies!
September 19th, 2008 at 7:13 pm
lol rob
September 19th, 2008 at 7:19 pm
Myers doing the ‘you can’t see me’ got a good laugh from my friends and i
September 19th, 2008 at 7:21 pm
Brew Crew are already down 3-0 in the 1st.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:22 pm
Oh-oh…Myers please
September 19th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Florida is just coming out swinging.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Come on Myers! Limit the damage!
September 19th, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Oh man…that’s not looking good
September 19th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Myers is trying to establish fastball with a team that is hacking at anything that moves straight. He shoud start throwing curves and slop because the only way to get them out it seems is for them to get themselves out.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
yea myers looks pretty good actually. he’s being around teh zone TOO much. You gotta pitch off the plate with these guys.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:25 pm
Crap.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:26 pm
I was wondering if he wasn’t throwing enough breaking balls. Don’t throw too many fastballs to this team.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
SHIT
September 19th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
This Florida team is so good right now, it’s insane.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
YIKES. I am going to just go away for a while.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:28 pm
ZERO OUTS! Oh man please Myers don’t go back to you 1st half-self
September 19th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Manny, Myers is throwing good stuff, just Florida is a hacking team.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
lolololol WOW
September 19th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
Could this be Eaton’s last chance to play in 08? Meyers needs to bounce back.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:29 pm
ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? A team can’t be THAT hot..the pitcher HAS a lot to do with that…
September 19th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
SJ, then why doesn’t everyone hack at him?
September 19th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
Florida has been rocking everyone they’ve seen the past couple weeks. And most of their games are 5+ runs each and each seem to have a big inning where they just score nonstop.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:31 pm
Georgie, most of the other teams take their time and take pitches. Florida just swings.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:32 pm
What are the chances that both us and the Brewers give up 5 runs without getting a single out. Ridiculous.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:33 pm
Something tells me this game’s score is going to be similar to when playing pitcher’s poison baseball with friends and mercy rules.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
DOBBS!
September 19th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
Well, if they have this much success with Myers just hacking, then shouldn’t scouts see that and tell their teams to hack against him?
lol-Harry-that’s out of here. no it’s not., yes it is!!!
September 19th, 2008 at 7:35 pm
Dobbs really shifted the momentum back where it needs to be.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Good hustle on that by Rollins
September 19th, 2008 at 7:37 pm
Oh man, this game will be over in 6 hours
September 19th, 2008 at 7:38 pm
Man this Marlins team is just hot their isn’t really much we can do…I just hope we can recover from this series when we play the Braves and Nats and hope they can stay this hot for when the play the Mets.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:39 pm
Lot of runs are going to be scored tonight.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
I just hope Myers can settle in and give us couple more innings…Maybe he needs to throw more curveball to em because this team is fastball hitting team.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:42 pm
Werth looks very much in “teenwolf ” character with all that facial hair.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:45 pm
Teen wolf michael j fox or jason bateman
September 19th, 2008 at 7:48 pm
Will anyone ever get an out on that Maybin kid?
September 19th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
were they both teenwolfs? lol
September 19th, 2008 at 7:50 pm
1 and 2 repsecitvely
September 19th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
Marlins have a shot still…had a feeling they weren’t gonna roll over and die.Keep the faith in your Phils…Holding onto faith in my Amazins.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
woof, woof
September 19th, 2008 at 7:52 pm
What has Manuel been arguing with Cowboy Joe West all night?
September 19th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
Please, please EVERYONE YESTERDAY WHO WAS KILLING HAMELS AND LAUDING MYERS WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY NOW? OH YES, MYERS IN A BIG GAME, MYERS OVER HAMELS, OH YA!
September 19th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
We gonna see Kendrick tonight?
September 19th, 2008 at 7:56 pm
Update…Reds 5/Brew Crew 0 Bot 3rd…Some solace and good news for all involved.
September 19th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
Myers is the number 1, Hamels AWFUL
September 19th, 2008 at 7:59 pm
WTF? tatoos distracting?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
Wait, so the Marlins are claiming Myers’ tattoo is distracting, yet the Marlins got 5 runs off of him in the first inning?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
Myers always gets smacked around by the fish the first time around!
They made him put on an undershirt to cover his tatoos? What kind of loser umps are these?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:00 pm
They pulled this last year and say something about his arm tat every time he pitches.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:01 pm
They were arguing about a tattoo? How the tattoo distracting if they have five runs? The Marlins idiot manager just wants Brett to put a long sleeve shirt on because he’s likely to get hot with it on and might struggle.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
haha I was thinking the same J-Man
September 19th, 2008 at 8:03 pm
That’s a tad ridiculous.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
I love how they made sure we saw Dobbs’ “very fine catch” while it happened….
September 19th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
That’s the kind of information that doesn’t show up well in MLB Gameday.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:04 pm
That’s just ridiculous, I can understand a shiny necklace or something, but a tattoo?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:05 pm
What if you find a player being ugly distracting? Do they have to wear a bag over their head?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
hahaha-good one Evan!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
DOBBS again!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Like those bumps on Polanco’s head, I would find that distracting.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
Had to share this tidbit of wisdom from Metsblog.com.

September 19th, 2008 at 8:10 pm

haterz!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
Atlanta took the lead 2-1 on David Wright error.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
2-1 Braves. Go Coxians!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:11 pm
****tomahawk chop****
September 19th, 2008 at 8:13 pm
dazed and confused-excellent song though…
September 19th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Ugh..we had a runner on 2nd with NO outs and couldn’t get him in.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Myers is tearing it up with sleeves.
Metsblog comments can stay on thier site. Those guys, matt and et al, do a great job. Fasilitating a “he said, she said” comment war is not how we roll.
Though thanks for the reminder that mets fans are generally moronic in their statements, comments and opinions.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:15 pm
Squandered a leadoff double. Gotta pick up those runs…
September 19th, 2008 at 8:16 pm
D wright throwing runs away… nice
September 19th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
Thats the BEST the Marlins can complain about…..Tattoo has been dead for years, didn’t he kill himself?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
Rob, it was more or less, as you said, to show a moronic statement. No harm intended.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
It’s the bottom of the order. Not much you can do. Coste can’t bunt cause Myers is behind him. What can you do?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Brew Crew down 8-0 now.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
Where exactly did that ball hit Jimmy, he’s acting like something is really hurting.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:20 pm
What about D Wright driving those runs in?
Manny, are you seriously doing the tomahawk chop?
Shows what a true Philly fan you are.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Georgie, I think it hit off of his ankle right to his toe.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:21 pm
Eh, don’t worry about it. Lets just get some runs
September 19th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
Mets up 4 – 2 after delgado’s RBI single.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:23 pm
Wasn’t it his ankle that was injured earlier in the year? Same one?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
I wonder why Bobby Cox decided to pull a switcheroo and put Hampton against us and Jo-Jo Reyes against the Mets tonight.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
It was his right ankle.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:26 pm
DB Mets fans. Get your own blog. Read the site, but just leave it alone.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
My favorite team is the Phillies.
My other favorite team is whichever is playing the Mets.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Good news all around! Brew Crew losing BIG,Mets taking a 4/e Lead.If all goes well…..Mets up in at least the Wild Card by 2 1/2 games. But heck,I don’t want the wild card……..Its like kissing your sister.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Jo-Jo Reyes is completely useless.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:28 pm
I enjoy kissing your sister grumpy miner
September 19th, 2008 at 8:29 pm
Howard is gonna smash that ball out of there
September 19th, 2008 at 8:30 pm
Manny,
Everytime Howard is up I call homer. He makes me look like I know what I’m talking about quite often.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:31 pm
hahaha I don’t do that too often, Evan…you lose credibility
September 19th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
This camera view at this ballpark is so high up, it is hard to see the high and low of the strike zone. Because I swear Howard should’ve struck out on called strikes several times already by this angle.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:32 pm
I just play the percentages dude
September 19th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
HA I CALLED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:33 pm
These cameramen are just awful in Florida. Anyone see that camera look for Howard’s homerun ball like a contestant just called down for “The Price Is Right?”
September 19th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
HOWARD!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Howard is an animal right now.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
Right again, Evan
September 19th, 2008 at 8:34 pm
…mvp…mvp…mvp….
September 19th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Nice at bat by the big man…Yea i agree these camaramen are awful.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
LOL….you changed the joke on me Evan.Didn’t expect it to backfire. It was a figure of speech.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:35 pm
Good ol’ Larry is up with runners at the corners and 1 out.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
I don’t recall ever seeing the NYPDBlue camera at a ballgame before.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:36 pm
Sorry Chipper, sit down.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
Being told to “Come On Down” on The Price Is Right” is something of a dream….but no dream for me,I lived it,and by the way,I won a good set of steak knives…..in which I will use on Evan if he goes anywhere NEAR my sister!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:39 pm
can’t get maybin out…
September 19th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Tyler: No one cares. PLease, go to Metsblog.com or somewhere else.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:42 pm
The Braves are one run closer to the Mets. The NL East as a whole seems to play better in September.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:43 pm
Myers is so much better than Hamels, I am glad he’s on the mound tonight.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:44 pm
Do you think Charlie realizes Myers doesn’t have it? Or will he let Myers give up the lead first?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Ugh Cholly leaves pitchers in too dame long…Get him the hell out already Cholly.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Well, I am glad charlie is managing to lose.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:46 pm
Ouch that hurts.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:47 pm
Their putting Seanez in with the bases loaded and no outs? Were screwed.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:48 pm
Does Charlie know anything? Why is he putting MORE men on base when the game is tied? God damn it why did he walk Jacobs? And why is Myers still in? Jesus christ.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Kyle:It’s because Cholly don’t know how to manage he’s an idiot.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:50 pm
Would’ve been nice to go up by 3 games tonight, but oh well.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
7-6, Fish.
Sorry Kyle.
Usually there’s no crying but I guess not for you today.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:52 pm
It ain’t over yet.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:53 pm
Excuse me, 8-6.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:54 pm
SJ mike i just read your comment about the price is right. Made me lol.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Well, now its definitely over.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
whyyyyyyyyyyyy rudy whyyyyyyyyy
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Seanez is a joke…He gave up a monster home run to a guy thats only hit 2 this year.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
Oh, excuse me, again, 11-6!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:56 pm
GOOD GOD
September 19th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
nepa no way is this game over, it’s a freaking slug fest. 13-12 philllies. final score
September 19th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
Well, I’m done watching tonight. At least the Brewers are getting drilled too.
September 19th, 2008 at 8:58 pm
Goodnight, Paul!
September 19th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
But lets all get on board: We’d much rather have Myers out there than Hamels. Come on. Let’s look at yesterday’s gameday comments. WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE?
September 19th, 2008 at 8:59 pm
When Amezega starts hitting HRs, its over.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:00 pm
It’s definitely not over. But that was painful to watch.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:01 pm
If you Philly fans are relying on the Mets losing, they still can.
Ollie has a high pitch count and will probably go 6 innings, tops.
And we all knew my Mets bullpen.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
NEPA, a month ago, I would have said it was over, but not the way they’re hitting now.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:03 pm
Well if everything stays as is……Phillies have the Wild Card lead by 2 games…..and the Amazins assume the NL East lead. The Dogfight Continues!
September 19th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Did you guys really expect Myers to pitch the way he has been the rest of the year?!? C’mon give me a break.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:06 pm
Georgie, I agree, if they were playing any other team. But if we can somehow find a way to get another 5 or 6 runs, I can’t see us shutting them down at the same time.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:08 pm
let the kids play tonight… let’s get golson and marson in there.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:10 pm
These 2 kids are killing us. They’re on base every god damn inning.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:11 pm
Dude’s wearing a headband, nice.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:12 pm
Charlie is obviously planning on losing this game. That’s why he left Myers in so long when he DID NOT HAVE IT. Just terrible managing my Manual and awful pitching from Myers.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
I’m not sure if anyone remembers. I said it a few days ago that running into the Marlins will be VERY dangerous. They are much hotter than the Phillies.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:13 pm
ManuEl not ManuAl, Kyle
September 19th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
Awesome game here.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:14 pm
LOL I love when people misspell it Manual instead of Manuel. Someone always corrects them.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
You guys still coming back from this one?
September 19th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
I agree i’m ready to Marson and Golson…Cholly an moron though and like to give the 30 year old career minor leaguers like Cervenak playing time.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:16 pm
anyone care to guess what time this fiasco might be over? almost 9:30 going into 7th, yawn.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:24 pm
Who gives a crap about his spelling. He’s an awful manager. What bugs me more is where are those five people saying they’d rather have Meyers out there over Hamels. Really? How’d that work tonight?
September 19th, 2008 at 9:26 pm
die! Philthies Die!
September 19th, 2008 at 9:29 pm
Oops, sorry: Myers.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:29 pm
You know what Hamels wasn’t even good a few nights ago. If he wasn’t playing a minor league Braves team, he would’ve gotten lit up. The bullpen is what is so strong for the Phillies. They are the best bullpen. The SP is not as good as many as you think.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:31 pm
Who cares: The point is RivLez is who do you want to take for your team: Hamels or Myers? Myers 10-11 4.46 or Hamels, 14-9 with a 3.05?
September 19th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Why the hell would there be a plotted plant in the outfield of Dolphin’s Stadium?
September 19th, 2008 at 9:38 pm
It adds a certain atmosphere to the setting.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:39 pm
Well, Kile then I’m going to misspell your name too
(btw, my name is Manuel too)
September 19th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
if the braves are a minor league team then the mets are in trouble because they’ve been battling them all game and if i were a mets fan (ugh, that feels so filthy to say) i wouldn’t feel comfortable with that one run lead.
phils starting pitch is very good, borderline great. one bad start doesn’t change that. the marlins are red hot and this will be a tough series to win. nothing to panic over, just gotta dig in and fight for it.
also, i like seeing cervenak getting an AB in this game, he almost had a base hit. i’d just like to see marson come in at C and golson in the OF.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
We’re still in this game…and it’s gonna be interesting to see Kendrick pitch
September 19th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
Utley gets on base…Howard grand slam..
September 19th, 2008 at 9:45 pm
Bring in Eaton to pitch the 8th,lets see how the minors did that garbage player.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
nah this is a good inning to use kendrick. let him try to clear his head.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:52 pm
Haha Eatons warming up.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:53 pm
Mets Bullpen!
September 19th, 2008 at 9:55 pm
**tomahwak chop**
September 19th, 2008 at 9:56 pm
Whoops – that error that tied the Mets and Braves was on Ryan Church. I apologize to the Mets Bullpen for insinuating that they surrendered their lead.
September 19th, 2008 at 9:58 pm
Hey they got 6-runs in an inning. We can do that, too… right?
September 19th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
Let’s go Braves!
September 19th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
At this point, I’m more scared of the Marlins than the Mets. Marlins could be this season’s Rockies. Nine straight wins with this one!
September 19th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
COME ON BRAVES!
September 19th, 2008 at 10:06 pm
I dont even wanna tlak about this. totally disgraceful. you have to be better thna this if you want to make the playoffs. must win the next two games\
September 19th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
and the comeback starts now
September 19th, 2008 at 10:08 pm
Marlins seem to score double digit runs every single night now. I agree, they are scary as hell.
September 19th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
The Marlins proved to me why I was scared before this game . I’m not liking the way this series looks. When a team scores 8 runs and loses, they have a right to be scared!
September 19th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
The marlins are not going anywhere. stop fretting.
September 19th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
It’s gonna be tough to take these next 2 games with Blanton who’s had his struggles and Moyer on Sunday who has dominated the Marlins, but their starting to figure him out…Anyone think the Marlins will continue to be this hot when they go to play the Mets?
September 19th, 2008 at 10:12 pm
i think by the time the marlins play the mets, both the phillies and mets will have clinched playoff spots and it wont even matter.
September 19th, 2008 at 10:13 pm
hey, it’s one bad loss against a red hot team. put it behind you and start fresh tomorrow. coming off of 7 straight wins beforehand, i’m not too broken up over it.

Mets leading 7 – 5 now
September 19th, 2008 at 10:55 pm
And the mets won. Phillies .5 behind mets for division, but at least they lead the WC.

Phillies have a 2 game lead in the WC as Brewers continue their meltdown in 11-2 loss to Reds.
Magic no. is 7 with 8 games left. How’s that for positive thinking?
However, Phillies are hearing footsteps as Marlins are now 4 1/2 back in WC. The Fish clinched season series having won 7 out of last 9 and 10 to 6 overall against Phils.

Tough loss today . . . Myers has come back to reality. Hopefully he can get back to playing over his head by his next start.

I “watched” the game on gameday on my phone at work. I have a lot to say.
1. Don’t panic. I’ll explain why in the rest of my points.
2. I knew Myers was gonna get smashed tonight. He’s a fastball pitcher. The Marlins smash fastball. They’re the hottest team in baseball right now. I didn’t expect it to be that bad. Did you all really think that Myers was going to pitch like Cy Young the rest of the season? I expected him to have a poor outing, it was just an unfourtante time.
3. The Marlins may be this years Rockies, but they won’t be able to over come the Phillies.
4. The Marlins would literally have to win the rest of their games this season and hope that the Phillies only go 3-3 at home against the trash of the NL East. That just simply isn’t happening.
5. The Marlins could overtake the Mets. They’d have to sweep the Phillies and hope that the Mets get beat up by the Cubs next weekend, or even the Braves this weekend.
In all honesty if I were Charlie I’d focus on the WC. If they sweep the Braves next week, and if they can take at least 1 from Florida the WC is pretty much locked up. Rest your starters. You want them to be fresh for the playoffs, especially the rotation. Don’t focus on the division if that means your starters are all going to be a little tired. Let them get some rest.

The un-trolling Mets fan here.
Why makes you think the Marlins can’t pass you, but can pass us who are in front of you? That Cubs series isn’t going to be as tough as you might think, they would have already clinched which means pulling the starters early and playing a few AAA guys.
September 20th, 2008 at 12:36 am
GPR…I want you to honestly ask yourself this. Do you think the Phillies are going to lose 3 against the Braves(who we owned all year) and the Nats and the Marlins would win every single solitary game they have left this season? Honestly…
September 20th, 2008 at 12:39 am
Oh, and also I don’t think the Marlins can pass you either, but they have a better chance of passing you guys than the Phillies. I know the Cubs series won’t be as hard as it should be since they’ll have the division locked, but I said IF the Mets struggle against the Cubs.

Phil,
Your logic is about the most retarded thing anyone has ever actually written in the history of writing retarded things. Are you assuming the Phillies are so much hotter than the Mets? Well… hate to burst your bubble but, for September, the Mets are 10-6 while the Philles are 11-6.
I’m not saying the Marlins can’t catch up… but if they do, there’s a much greater chance they’re knocking the second place team (whomever that is) out of the Wild Card… and, with the Phillies playing on par with the Mets but currently lagging in the standings by half a game(and that sweep by the Marlins you’re talking about lagging the Phillies even further behind), I’m pretty sure your logic might look better after you wrote it on some toilet paper and I used it for its intended purpose.
September 20th, 2008 at 1:10 am
It actually isn’t illogical at all you @$$hole troll. The Cubs even when not playing their 100% starting team is still better than the Braves and Nationals. If you read what I said you piece of $hit you’d see that I said the Fish really don’t have a shot at catching either. Go back to your little cozy Mets blog.
September 20th, 2008 at 1:17 am
Yeah… you added that a little later. So I give you credit for realizing just how dumb the original statement was.
September 20th, 2008 at 1:20 am
It’s not dumb at all. Do you actually think the Marlins could over take the Phillies? Do you really have no life that you have to come onto a Phillies blog and talk $hit? I’d jump off the Brooklyn Bridge if I were you. If I had no life I wouldn’t want to continue living.
September 20th, 2008 at 1:25 am
I don’t think the Marlins can overtake the Phillies. I think, considering the Mats are half a game up on the Phillies, saying that the Marlins have a better chance of catching the Mets is kinda asinine… particularly with the conditions YOU listed (i.e. sweeping the Phillies!).
Seeing as you’re still around, I’m pretty sure you’d continue living despite having no life… but, regarding that Brooklyn Bridge thing, any chance you might give me a demonstration? I’m a quick learner. I just need to see it done once.

Why would I *NOT* hang out here? There is always a monkey ready to come dance whenever I crank up the music box…
Here’s a peanut, Phil. Good monkey.
September 20th, 2008 at 9:02 am
Phil I usually like you on here but that was absolutely retarded. How do the Marlins have a better chance to catch the Mets but not the Phillies even though the Mets have a better record. I’m sure many of you guys didn’t actually watch the Mets game. David Wright accounted for like 3 of Atlanta’s run with his errors. He was just terrible last night. Then you count Ryan Church’s and they would have easily won the game. All I know is that that it looks like both the Phillies and Mets are going to the playoffs.
