Q&A At Brew Crew Ball

Posted by Tim Malcolm, Tue, September 30, 2008 09:51 PM

Brew Crew Ball, which I believe is the best Brewers blog out there, is preparing for the NLDS in much the way we’re doing over here at the Nation. Proprietor Jeff Sackmann has a three-part Q&A with three different Phillies bloggers. He looks at the team in general with the Good Phight, the Phils pitching with Balls, Sticks & Stuff, and the offense with yours truly.

Check it out here. (I mistakenly referred to Ryan Howard’s homer against the Braves as a game-tying shot.) I’ll have more with Brew Crew Ball very soon.

What a very interesting Q&A Tim. Thanks for the nice read.

Rivlez- who you pullin for in the playoffs? I know you’re a fan of good baseball. Can we get some predictions goin on here?

I’m taking the Phillies over the Brewers. The Big Man will get it done all series.
Dodgers over Cubs. A combination of Billy Goats, Bartmans, and dudes named Manny Ramirez.
Rays over White Sox. Sox are beat. Rays are good.
Angels over Red Sox. It’s just not the Red Sox year.

    Phillies over Dodgers. Go Phils.
Angels over Rays. Rays are good. Angels are better.

Phillies over Angels. This is the year.

I called Phillies over Twins in 6 games a week ago Twins playing spoiler for the AL and then running out of gas in the WS, guess I was wrong. I’m now going to say a Phillies vs. AL because I honestly don’t know who’s going. All 4 teams are really good.

  5. Phil Says:

BTW Brewers fans are very classy individuals. I like them a lot and wish them the best in the post season. If the Brewers beat the Phillies then I will hope for them to go on and win it all. I like Sabathia too. He seems like a class act honestly. I’m excited for that team, I just hope they don’t beat us for obvious reasons but if they do, then more power to them.

Tim,I actually enjoyed the BCB interview and as much as I want to stay away from watching/listening to the playoffs, its just like a train wreck (No offense to the Los Angelinos)…..you just have to see it.Good luck tomorrow.

  7. Scheity Says:

Phil that is definitely the most anti-Philly post you could have made. You want to offer to babysit Sabathia’s kids (does he have kids? I bet he’s got some spawn roving around America, somewhere). I mean, come on…calling Brewers fans classy individuals the night before a playoff game, and more or less being tepid on their beating us?

Jeez. You better go kick a Mets fan in the nuts sometime Wednesday, just to be safe.

Go Phils. Nice interview, T-Malc. You should have made more outrageous comments, like you want So Taguchi at the plate and on the mound late in the game…but, ya know…it was a pressure-packed situation, we can only expect so much from you.
