Why would you fear Santana more than Tatis? We only have to face Santana once this series…On the other hand, we face Tatis 9 innings of a 3 series ball game. For those who don’t know, Tatis was their savior this year. He gave the Mets the extra spark they needed to be where they are. I can tell you right now, he is going to win the comeback player of the year award…Hands down.

Pat Burrell in a Mets jersey? Phillies fans would be salivating because everybody and their mother knows Burell shows up VS the Mets and lays down like a dog vs everyone else.If available,get Larry Jones from the Braves for left field.

I was just wondering was the trip you fans were taking on the short yellow buses to washington for a Nations game today or did that happen already? I wanted to also say that your team gave a good fight this year for the post season but because the central is strong that will keep them out this year. Maybe we can build a rivelry between the Mets and Phillies in the future it would be fun but the Phillies have to be good for a while and that just had not happened yet. Maybe next year! And maybe next year you will see Pat the Bat in a Mets Jersey? wouldn’t that be special!

if hamels refuses to make the start sunday against the mets than that proves to me that the phillies have to never sign him to a long term deal because he will officially be a primadonna/diva/pussy.

I heard Joe Kerrigan explain why starters don’t usually pitch complete games anymore. He said today’s starter throws an average of 3 more pitches per inning than they did 20 years ago, so if you extrapolate that over a season using 7 innings for an average starter, that’s like 600 more pitches in a 30 game season. That being said, I think Cole needs to quit worrying about the “toll” on his body and get his butt out there.

Boo hoo, Hamels has pitched 204 innings. Isn’t that the object of being a starting pitcher? Get your butt out there and try to stop the Mets and Santana. There was a time when starting pitchers threw 300+ innings a year. Stop babying Mister China Doll – if you’re the ace then act like one.
