The only thing I can see is if the Phillies offered 20 million and the Yankees offered 21 million with the same amount of years. I think he'd want to stay in the NL because he hits and he does really like Charlie. Chances are the Phillies FO isn't throwing out that kind of money for Sabathia, but god would it make us the best team in baseball.

Yeah, I read it Phil. It looks like the writer was trying to make any possible connection with the Phils and Sabathia. There's no way we can afford him - it was just to get our hopes up like the philly media did with Manny Ramirez. Besides, I find it hard to believe that CC would choose spending time with his old pal Charlie over a truck load of money in LA or NY.

Did anyone read the article on phillies.com about the Phillies in pursuit of Sabathia. I do not believe that at all.

I'm concerned over who is throwing on Wednesday. I'm going go out on a limb and say I would start Eaton. He's made two starts vs. the Braves this year and won both 7-3 and 6-3. Kendrick stinks and Moyer and Hamels are throwing in the other games, so Happ would be starting 3 straight lefties.

Post from metsblog.com about the many mets fans begging the site admin to take down the magic number picture from the site:

"Clearly posting a magic number has no bearing on what happens. However, let’s be realistic about it, the Phantic is way too blurred out. At this point he should be right behind Mr. Met with piano wire in hand."

Hmm... most of you are sining a much different tune than Thursday morning when you were waving the white flag about this season before the Brewers series even started! Glad I was on the right side of things!!
