  1. Rob Cowie Says:

The audio is finally up, obviously. Harrys Home Run calls are excellent and a great change of pace from the high calibre quotations of sound man Joe Buck.

  2. NEPA Says:

    That’s Franske. Not T Mac.

  3. Chutley Says:

I love LA’s call on Ruiz’s dribller as McCarthy calls the play all you hear is LA going “YEAH!” and thats it

  4. Jeffrey Says:

Isn’t that Scott Franzke on those calls?

  5. NEPA Says:

Yes its Franzke – the post has been updated already.

  6. Jeffrey Says:

Late to the nitpick party, I see.
I’ve really grown to like him and L.A. together. Harry’s still the king but it’s nice to feel like we’ve got a good broadcast team who can step in when he retires.
Watching other teams’ broadcasts on MLB.tv this season made me more grateful than ever for the quality announcers we’ve always had.

  7. Chuck Says:

Franske’s good…….I think better than Harry.

  8. Phil Says:

Franske is great. Not better than Harry though. I love how intense LA gets over everything. When Bruntlett kept going to 3rd he was screaming GO GO in the back ground. It was awesome. I loved how you could hear the crowd chanting Garza the whole time Howard was up to bat. I was wondering if you could hear that on TV/Radio. We were screaming it most of the game, and I’d like to think we were inside of his head. He did throw a lot of balls.

  9. Chase Mutley Says:

Harry is iconic but Franske and L.A. are much more enjoyable to listen to on a day-in-day-out basis.

Harry is like listening to your grandfather tell a story. He’ll get lots of things wrong and he’ll put you to sleep but it’s your grandfather, man. SF and LA are like your two most obnoxious and witty buddies watching the game in your living room.

I want Harry narrating the 2008 Phillies’ DVD. I much prefer SF and LA to call the games though.

  10. Philly Fan from NY Says:

I love them all compared to the Fox announcers.

    We have the broadcast talent.

  11. Philly Fan from NY Says:

The audio is from game 3, not 4.

  12. Rich Says:

I would have liked to have heard Scott Graham call some of these games as well. He was a great Phillies announcer. T Mac, I don’t care for but he makes a good national broadcast announcer on say Fox or TBS in my opinion.. he needs to be more pro-Phillies.

This game shouldn’t have been played though, the late, late start and the dangerous conditions on the field should have meant a scratch.

  13. tom Says:

what dangerous conditions? the field drains exceptionally well, there’s nothing you can do to prevent it from being slick but nothing happened or was suggested last night that would indicate it was dangerous out there…

  14. Jamie Says:

Rich, the field wasn’t “dangerous.” I don’t know where you got that from…

Chase, I agree. I love the LA/Franske combo, and as much as I enjoy Harry, I’ve grown to love Franske/LA much more just because of their enthusiasm.

  15. Brian Michael Says:

Sorry about all the errors. It was a long night…

  16. Bobby in Boston Says:

Thanks for the clips, Jamie and Brian! Up here, 1210 AM goes in and out depending on which way the wind blows or something. Please keep ‘em coming!

  17. Phil Says:

Is there a place to get more of these? I love the sweet voice of Harry Kalas.

  18. Paul Says:

    Thanks a lot for these.

  19. Phillies Sound Clips Says:

You can find Phillies sound clips and ringtones here, for future reference:

    Anybody have game 4 audio?

  20. jon Says:

Speaking of LA’s inability to contain himself, Remember Burrell’s Walkoff homer earlier this season? Larry is the man.
