Hop On The Redneck Express

Posted by Tim Malcolm, Fri, October 10, 2008 12:45 PM

No we don’t fit in with that white-collar crowd
We’re a little too rowdy and a little too loud
There’s no place that I’d rather be
Than right here with my rednecks, white socks, and blue ribbon beer.
— Johnny Russell

That, my friends, is poetry. And so is seven innings, two runs and eight strikeouts. Can we get that from Brett “The Redneck Express” Myers today?

If he doesn’t give up more than 2 runs in the first inning I think we can get that line from him.

YES WE CAN get another good performance out of Brett! Thought you might enjoy this in-depth analysis of at-bat intro songs in this series:

Brett’s intro song worked wonders against CC. He should change his song to “CC Rider”.

ESPN is reporting that Charlie’s mom died today.

  4. Kyle Says:

Poor Charlie, get a win for the old guy. His mom must have been close to 90, right?

  5. Tim Malcolm Says:

Zolecki has it too. Charlie will manage the team today. Thoughts and prayers.

  6. mikemike Says:

    How old is charlie?

  7. Chase Mutley Says:

    Wow. That’s really sad.

  8. Tim Malcolm Says:

    His mom was 87.

  9. Phil Says:

My condolences to uncle Charlie. The team needs to go out there and win one for his mom. That is a rough time to pass. How is he going to be able to give her a popular funeral while he’s trying to coach a team to the NLCS?

  10. Eb Says:

If Charlie’s mom has half the personality of Cholly, everyone in Heaven is going to enjoy her company.

thoughts and prayers to the good ol family of Cholly

  11. Mickey D Says:

RIP Mrs. Manuel. About 3 weeks before the Tyson fight Buster Douglas’s mom died…maybe the guys will kick it up another level and win out for the skipper.

  12. Mickey D Says:

I’ve grown to like Cholly over the course of this year. He’s a good dude.

  13. Eb Says:

The guy makes mistakes in managing but I would love to sit down with him have some Beers, JD, and/or Moonshine and talk baseball

  14. Mr Met Says:

    a whole.
