PHILS CLINCH NLCS BERTH!

Posted by Tim Malcolm, Sun, October 05, 2008 03:55 PM

Joe Blanton subdued the Brewers, and Pat Burrell blasted them, as the Phillies defeated Milwaukee, 6-2. The Phils won the best-of-five National League Division Series, 3-1, and will play the Los Angeles Dodgers for the National League championship. Game one is Thursday at Citizens Bank Park.

Burrell hit two home runs in the game. The first was the gamebreaker, a three-run stunner off Jeff Suppan with two strikes and two outs in the third inning. It gave the good guys a 4-0 lead and settled things down. Burrell then knocked a big insurance homer in the eighth inning. After a second-half slump, Burrell redeemed himself tremendously with just two swings.

Blanton was beautiful, striking out seven in six innings while giving up just one run — a no-doubter by Prince Fielder. Blanton threw first-pitch strikes, had Milwaukee hitters swinging early and late, and worked efficiently after a high-count first inning. As far as midseason acquisitions, Blanton has come up huge.

Blanton set the bullpen for three paint-by-numbers innings. Ryan Madson took two of them and gave up just a garbage run, while Brad Lidge closed out the ninth for the third time in the series.

Back to the offense. Jayson Werth backed Burrell’s first bomb with a solo home run, while Jimmy Rollins led off the contest with a longball. Meanwhile, Greg Dobbs contributed with two hits in a starting spot. With Chase Utley and Ryan Howard slumping in the NLDS, the rest of the offense has picked it up. And Burrell joined them in game four, leading the Phils to the NLCS for the first time since 1993.

asburn should go to the umpire

    BRING ON THE DODGERS!

  8. TJ Says:

Burrell sounded like he wanted to come back when he was interviewing with Aldridge

  9. NEPA Says:

I guess Phillies in 4 was a popular pick for a reason.

  10. Ryan Says:

    LET’S GO PHILLIES!

  11. Andrew Vazzano Says:

    Congrats.

  12. Craig Says:

    Sweet.

  13. Mike W. Says:

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? THE PHILS ARE THE FAVORITES TO WIN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE!! JUST AMAZING.

  14. Georgie Says:

I really like the teams’ attitude, rather subdued celebration again, they look like they want more.

Jimmy-”there’s still meat left on the bone”

  15. Rick Says:

The bats are heating up! Now if Chase and Ryan can just get ‘em going, they’ll be unstoppable!

  16. Maddie Says:

    Beat LA!!!!

  17. Gplad Says:

Redsox, chowderhead, fish-bait, arrogant scab needs to shut up. Talk when you get by TAMPA (thats right TAMPA) -the team you couldnt get by all year. YOU ARE A WILD CARD TEAM. The Angel’s seasonal implosion would have happened against ANYONE…. Tampa OWNS you ….ALLL Year BIATCH…..

  18. Gplad Says:

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! Phillies!!!!!! I was 10 years old in 80, 13 in 83 and drunk, pissed off, and 23 in 93. Jesus we, I, this town needs this!!!!!! PHILLY POWER!!!!!!!

  19. Greg B Says:

HELL Yes. Pat the Bat. You alright.

  20. Griffin Says:

Let’s do it! LA is playing well, but we can do this.

  21. Paul Says:

    Well done Phils!

I was really impressed by Blanton today, he did a great job. He is looking more and more like a smart pickup.

  22. Maddie Says:

When will we know any game times?

  23. Chris.I Says:

Who would of thought Burrell would come through, and smash not one, but TWO of his biggest homeruns of his career a day after everyone on the site was bashing him??? My appologies Mr.Burrell. We’re giving you a one day free pass….But Ruiz…YOU SUCK!!

  24. Clare Says:

I know, I need to know the game times cause we have tickets for games one and six and I have to fly home!

  25. christopher Says:

great series win. can’t wait to start the NLCS against the dodgers!

hats off to the organization for putting together a hell of a team. gillick hasn’t gotten the credit he’s deserved for the job he’s done in philadelphia.

  26. Jack Says:

clare if by chance you can’t fly home. Please post on this board….I’d be glad to take them off your hands :)

  27. Steve Says:

When the Phillies decided they couldn’t go after CC Sabathia and Rich Harden and settled on a 4-12 Joe Blanton I could not have been more upset with Pat Gillick and co., but here’s all you have to see:

    CC Sabathia Game 2 vs Phi: 3.2 in, 6 h, 5 er, 4 bb, 5 k, loss
    Rich Harden Game 3 vs LA: 4.1 in, 5 h, 3 er, 3 bb, 4 k, loss
    Joe Blanton Game 4 vs Mil: 6 in, 5 h, 1 er, 0 bb, 7 k, WIN

I think that one worked out pretty well, don’t you. BEAT LA!

  28. christopher Says:

obviously blanton is not a better pitcher than harden and CC in the long run. but sometimes the best moves you make are the guys you DON’T trade! keeping victorino, werth, marson and carrasco will pay bigger dividends than moving them for a big name pitcher would have. i said it when they traded for blanton and i’ll say it again now.

  29. redsoxfan Says:

GPLAD Sounds like your ten now idiot

  30. redsoxfan Says:

Dodgers are 8-5 to win pennant. That is in vegas

  31. redsoxfan Says:

Clare why fly home to see them lose. sell the tickets to some suckers. Who think they have a chance.

  32. Chris.I Says:

Redsoxfan..Why are you even on this site? Your replys are pointless….If the Dodgers are 8-5 to win, why don’t you troll their blogs? Your obviously scared of us, and you have every reason to be.

  33. Manny Says:

I’m going to the game on Friday! Got tix from StubHub 2 weeks ago!!

  34. Geoff Says:

Get this terrorist Red Sox fan out of here…now

  35. Griffin Says:

I’m going friday as well. Billingsley vs. Myers. I’m pumped!

  36. Geoff Says:

Meanwhile, outstanding performance by Joe Blanton today…offense woke up, bring on the Dodgers now and here we go…now it gets tough. The Phillies are better and they will win this series, but it probably will be a 6-7 game series.

  37. Gavin Says:

What a sigh of relief today was. I like the Phillies matchup against the Dodgers, their best pitchers are RP, and that should match up better with our lineup. Of course Utley and Howard have to pick it up, but what a sigh of relief. Never a doubt Pat, never a doubt.

  38. redsoxfan Says:

The red sox will be waiting. If by some miracle the phillies beat L.A. The odds are against it. Red Sox Rule.

  39. redsoxfan Says:

This just in Utley named choke player of the year .By sporting news.

  40. Chase Mutley Says:

$20 says that redsoxfan isn’t even really a Red Sox fan but a Mets troll who knows he can’t show his face around here otherwise. Since when were the Phillies on any Red Sox fan’s radar?

  41. NEPA Says:

Mutley, I was just thinking that. Definitely not a red sox fan, that would be way too random.

  42. redsoxfan Says:

I hate the mets more than the phillies. I have been a fan for ten years.

  43. Keith Says:

redsoxfan has no life, just ignore him.

  44. christopher Says:

the dodgers have good SP too. billingsley is an elite pitcher and lowe being a sinkerballer will be tough against the phillies. plus he’d had the post season success. but nobody can take anything away from the phillies’ pitching staff right now. it won’t be an easy series but the phillies are a better all around team and should be able to take it.

  45. redsoxfan Says:

Keith will you be talking after the phillies lose to the dodgers or become a weisel and not post.

  46. Jamie Says:

You’ve been a Red Sux fan for TEN WHOLE YEARS!? What, since you were three, or just when it started to be cool to be a fan of theirs? You’d be better served chatting on your own blog, picking your newest zits before school starts tomorrow morning, or combing the six pubic hairs you just had come in this last week. Seriously, dude, you need to get a life if you’re trolling a Phillies blog talking a lot of shit when you still have yet to clinch a spot in the ALCS, let alone the pennant.

  47. Pat Says:

Jamie… come on now. keep it clean homey.

    Tim,

anyway you can add IP addresses to comments?

  48. redsoxfan Says:

Winners can talk. losing fans like you have nothing to say to winning fans like the red sox.

  49. Jamie Says:

Mr. Burrell, is that you? (lol)

    I thought I was keeping it clean. I didn’t drop any f-bombs.

  50. redsoxfan Says:

Terry Francona named manager of the year.

  51. Greg B Says:

Complete team effort in this series and a solid Win. Those who may have come up short on the batting end came up big defensively. If you had to pick an MVP for the series?
I might go with Vic, but if I could give it to starting rotation, I would.

redsoxfan…you probably think “Gator” Greenwell is a reference to the Green Monster. Go watch your Jimmy Fallon movies, you major league fruit.

  52. Jamie Says:

I will say I have rooted for the Red Sox the past few times they’ve gone to the dance. I’ve actually admired their fans for putting up with years of garbage teams, and if anyone can understand Philly fans’ frustrations, I would think it would be a Red Sox fan. If so, I’m sure we could all agree to disagree on which one of us would win if we faced each other this year, but to come on a Phillies blog to badmouth the team when none of us have been running ours about yours is just plain ignorant.

And as far as the “winning/losing fans” comments are concerned…last I checked I don’t think you got a ring for any of the wins the Sox have achieved. So I don’t know what makes you think you are a “winner” and Philly fans are “losers.” Just because your team shelled out more money and happened to win a World Series? That makes YOU a winner by association? Hmm…I don’t get it exactly.

  53. STLCardsfan Says:

Thanks for beating the Brewers, now go beat the crap out of L.A. GO PHILLIES!!!

  54. ActuallyChilled Says:

Phillies ! Congrats to everyone, Including Ed Wade. Keep the phizaith

  55. Richie Allen Says:

    Redsoxfan needs a bullet

  56. Jamie Says:

A special thanks to Ed Wade for the Brad Lidge trade. I wonder what other kinds of garbage we can send to him this off season for the likes of Roy Oswalt or Hunter Pence.

  57. Dave Says:

Why isn’t Mr. RedSoxFan drinking at McGreevy’s on Boylston St? Why would a true Red Sox fan waste his time on the internet when he could be drinking at America’s First Sports Bar?

Or is he just a poser who doesn’t even know the words to “Tessie”?

  58. T Marty Says:

    Happy. gonna sleep well.
thank you Phils, keep it goin’!

  59. Richie Allen Says:

On tv just now on ESPN…John Kruk just insinuated that he didnt know how the phillies would do against the dodgers because they are scoring runs in 1 or 2 innings..he sounded kind of negative toward us and positive toward the dodgers..
WHAT THE F…THIS SOB SOUNDS LIKE A F___IN TRAITOR..

  60. Gplad Says:

First of all CHOWD, learn how to spell, (it’s you’re) , second, you seem a little nervous, why else be here.?. Well, I would be too….. RAYS RAYS RAYS owned your ass all year long. They especially kicked your teeth in down the stretch. And if you are a coward Met fan hiding under the pathetic Red Sock nation white-trash-wagon, hen you may be the most pathetic, sad, fool ever to unwelcomely infiltrate this blog. ……………..Good bye Shea-****hole, and go RAYS, RAYS, RAYS……HA HA HA RAYS

  61. Gplad Says:

    Go Phils!

  62. redsoxfan Says:

Gplad What does your name stand for. Great play los angeles dodgers. You are a dodgers fan

  63. T Says:

The problem with Red Sox fans is they think that THEY as fans actually won the championship, not the team.

Let’s take a lesson from philliesnation.com’s resident red sox fan and remember that its the team that works hard for us and we should all be humbly proud of them and our city, not of ourselves.

  64. T Says:

haha the Gplad comment was actually funny… you are a ridiculous human being.

  65. LH Says:

sweet success – it’s been a long wait for the Phils to celebrate their upcoming play in the NL championship! Pat the Bat was given two pitches during the game that seem to be in slow motion right to the heart of his swing. He didn’t hesitate and swung beautifully. Running around the bases, he had a smile as wide as the stadium roof, (yes I saw it too Georgie). During his time alone on the dugout step after the hit, he seemed to take a healthy sigh, still smilling, like an awful weight had been lifted from his shoulders. Way to cap off the series Pat.

  66. christopher Says:

people seem to miss it but kruk is ALWAYS negative on the phillies. he didn’t think they would make the playoffs this year or last year. he is a bitter old bum and is lucky to have a job.

  67. VA Steve Says:

Cy Blanton has to get the Ashburn, he was HUGE!!! Love the way Madson is pitching too right now, he is locked in. Also thought it was nice to see the celebration (or lack there of) on field after the last out ….. they want more. So do I. So do we. I like it, the composure, they are relaxed! Just need a few more key hits, and we would have totally dominated the Brew Crew.

LA, bring ‘em on. Brings back memories of the 70’s. Questions for the Phaithful, who would you rather have defensively in LF, pat or the bull?

  68. Joey Says:

Last time we faced Greg Maddux in the NLCS it worked out pretty well for this city…

  69. NJ Says:

It’s wierd ground when the baseball media focuses on the Phils since the focus is usually elsewhere. When it does happen it gets highlighted that we on the whole are a pretty negative bunch, not a knock but we got so use to loosing it’s just the way we are and have seen so many collapses we focus more on the bad than good.

Can we beat the Dodgers? Sure we can but not many can say it without the historical pesimism coming up.

  70. redsoxfan Says:

Thank you T for the kind words. Have a nice night.

  71. Jamie Says:

Hey redsuxfan, shouldn’t you be focusing on the big game going on right now? I would think that if you’re such a big fan, you would be.

  72. Joe Says:

Hey Guys! been a Phillies fan all my life. Although, I currently live in SC. I also spent 20 years in Boston. As for the Boston fan, they are all rabid. It’s inbred. I was born in philly, and still support all the teams.
It is very important, that the middle of the order hits. Coste needs to replace Ruiz. I don’t think he hit a ball out of the infield. Dobbs needs to start every game. Charlie has to pull the pitchers sooner.
If he do move on, Dobbs can be the dh.
But, a lot of water needs to go over the dam. The dodgers did play well. But, the cubs had lost the scent. But, we have never hit Lowe well.
I am looking forward to an exciting end.

    Go Phillies.

  73. redsoxfan Says:

No sweat Jamie we always win.

  74. redsoxfan Says:

You know sometimes I wish I was a phillies fan . But they never win anything so why waste my time. Tomorrow on the way to work in center city, will wear my sox shirt and hat. When I get off at broad and chestnut. Can’t wait to see the phillies fans faces.

  75. redsoxfan Says:

Hey any other sox fans let me know. We can meet and watch the series in town. There are some good bars that soxs fans go to .

  76. NJ Says:

Well we might just change that some time soon redsoxfan…

  77. SJ Mike Says:

So excited about how it went down. I was at the Eagles game today with an AM radio listening to 1210 for the whole game. It was great to see all the support the Phils were getting and the massive cheers. Lots of Phillies gear at the Linc. And something I never thought I’d hear was the constant “Let’s Go Phillies” chants going on at the Linc.

It was great. So stoked about the NLCS!

  78. Chase Mutley Says:

    “we always win.”

Did you watch baseball pre-2004? The Red Sox were synonymous with losing.

  79. NJ Says:

SJ- Maybe the Eagles were listening to the Phils game, they seemed to loose their focus bigtime…

  80. Gplad Says:

Center City you say….sox hat and shirt, you say? …Hmmmm… Watch your back Buckner…. GO RAYS

  81. redsoxfan Says:

    Go away dodgers fan.

  82. SJ Mike Says:

NJ, the the Eagles game was great for the first quarter, but then it turned into a stinker quickly. But nobody seemed to get too down and out in the stands (at least where I was sitting). When Pat Burrell hit the 3 run home run and I announced it to the fans near me, everyone erupted. It was glorious!

  83. NJ Says:

SJ- Must have been great to experience that, the one thing we Phils fans can never be critisized for is passion. What happened in that game though, seemed like it was being treated like a practise game after taking the lead and couldn’t re-assert themselves until it was too late… Also what went down on that play before one of the Skins FG’s when Cambell took a knee on 3rd down with plenty of time on the clock?

  84. SJ Mike Says:

You know what, I had no idea. I wondered that myself. We had no idea what the hell Cambell was doing. We couldn’t really see what happened exactly. We had all thought he spiked the ball or something. It was quite confusing.

I can’t explain what caused the Eagles to put out that clunker. It was pretty ugly. Lot of obnoxious Redskins fans trying to taunt and gloat, but nobody really paid attention. You’d be proud, a lot of that was drowned out by “Let’s go Phillies” chants.

  85. Rob Cowie Says:

When I get home I’m banning that red sox fan. This is a day of joyous celebration, not one to hear about Terry Francona, how the Dodgers will beat the Phillies or any other such things. I truely appreciate fans from other teams coming to our site to gongradulate us. Even though us as fans don’t pick up a bat or wear a glove, I’d like to feel that we willed a Game 2 victory at least.

There is no way I’m going to allow some slobs to ruin that for us. Not now, not ever.

  86. redsoxfan Says:

Boston 3-1. are you watching greatness, when you watch the soxs.

  87. NJ Says:

I have a lot of time for the Sox but your not exactly making a coherant point and Beckett just got taken long…

  88. KM Says:

    Big win!

Now we wanted the Dodgers from the start, but we didn’t realize that they would be this red hot.

  89. SJ Mike Says:

Also, it was really great hearing for once some Phillies love at the Linc, because usually you hear the Eagles chant when things are going bad over at Citizens Bank Park.

Great reversal. Like I said, a lot of love for the Phils today. The fact that I had the radio with me listening to our broadcast made us the popular guys in our section. Lot of Eagles jerseys and red Phillie caps asking for updates constantly.

  90. christopher Says:

joe, can’t agree with starting coste over ruiz or dobbs over feliz. i see what you’re saying, but ruiz has handled the pitchers so well all season. i think coste is a good catcher too and obviously has a superior bat, but right now getting continued great pitching is the most important thing. and feliz is so good defensively, while dobbs is a great bat to bring off the bench in a clutch spot. i do like mixing it up now and then, like charlie did today with dobbs. and i think coste will get a start, maybe two before the post season is over. but normally, they should stick with pedro and ruiz.

  91. Gplad Says:

I agree a day of joy … my apologies to everyone else. This has been too long coming. If we get pitching like this, anything is possible, especially as more of the bats come to life. This is truly a bright day after many years of dark. Anything is possible. Thank you Phils.

  92. Jamie Says:

Was that 2 run jack by Napoli greatness, or the meatball that Beckett served up? I forget.

  93. Jamie Says:

What I wouldn’t give for either A) a three game tear by the Angels to kick the Red Sox’s asses right out of the postseason, or B) a prominent ass whipping at the hands of the Rays in the ALCS

  94. Jamie Says:

Christopher, I like the Dobbs start with Feliz coming in late as a defensive replacement. It gives us a hot bat in the first six innings, and a very capable bat but great defensive upgrade late in the game. I liked it a lot myself.

  95. Jamie Says:

Looks like Beckett will only be going 5 tonight – he’s already thrown 85 pitches and they’re still in the 4th.

  96. NJ Says:

    Beckett’ll be lifted now.

  97. Chris.I Says:

Look guy’s..This is a random question. I know it’s too early to think about this, but it’s only right around the corner. After we win the world series (lol), we all know Howard is expected to make BIG bucks. What do you think? Think we’ll lock him up long term, or just throw him another measley 10 mil he won during arbitartion, and maybe than some? I hope whatever it is they decide to do, doesn’t leave even more bad taste in his mouth.

  98. NJ Says:

“I always said, when I got here, that I wanted to try to change the tradition,” Rollins said. “I said it to myself, ‘We need to change the mentality, change the way people think about this organization, change the way the young kids feel about being in this organization.’ And the only way you can do that is by winning.”

Maybe we give him the benefit of the doubt about previous comments being mis-interpreted, irreguardless since those comments he has taken the kind on of responsiblity he talks about.

  99. Jamie Says:

Chris, if he leads us to the World Series, and/or a World Series title, I think they look at giving him a long term deal. If he has a poor NLCS and/or WS, I think they continue the “wait and see” approach. If they throw money at him and he continues his “offensive slide” in the way of average and strikeouts, it would make him harder to move with a bulky contract should they so desire later on. If they just keep him year to year at this point, it may be more attractive to other teams, as they can negotiate with him themselves. I really think it depends on what ultimately happens to the Phillies this year, and how much of it is due to Howard.

  100. NJ Says:

Re-signing Howard’s more to do with him than the Phils unless the ownership interceeds. Howards happy to go year-to-year expecting something around what Teixeria will get plus inflation when he hits FA.

Unless the Phils FO/Ownership are prepared to throw an obscene amount probably well over $150m at him, the most we can expect is a Holliday type deal to avoid arbitration hearings.

  101. Mike W. Says:

Check out metsblog, the comments section has turned into a Dodgers fan-site. It’s absolutely pathetic. They just sit at their computers and cheer against us. We are really under their skin, it’s great.

  102. Adam Eaton Says:

Congratulations guys! I knew you guys could do it!

  103. NJ Says:

You wouldn’t get it from fans in the central or west, feel for the genuine Mets fans as so many people associated with that organisation are just classless.

  104. Greg F. Says:

    Way to go! Phils!

This one is for egotistical punks like Jose Reyes wagging his finger at the Phils as he rounded the bases on a homerun. This one is for Carlos Delgado throwing the bat at the feet of Jamie Moyer and laughing about it. Hope Mets fans are enjoying another off-season watching the better baseball team. Carlos, Jose, you and the Mets fans deserve one another.

  105. Jamie Says:

Yeah, they are classless buffoons alright. Kind of funny how much they hate the fact we’re going to the NLCS and they are stuck at home playing video games and surfing internet porn. We are REALLY under their skin. Love it!

  106. Gplad Says:

Davey Lopes vs. Larry Bowa again , just like circa 1977-78 , but reversed…who’d thought that. …”BEAT L.A.” “BEAT L.A.” …anyone remeber the chants

  107. Jamie Says:

Greg, don’t forget about Fernando “HGH” Tatis and his silly little home plate dances, Billy Wagner and his incessant babbling about the Phillies, and that homer Pedro Martinez and all of his whining and finger pointing. Yup, they’re right where they belong.

  108. SJ Mike Says:

I can’t wait til the day when Jose Reyes ends up on Dancing with the Stars, since he loves to choreograph.

  109. Mike W. Says:

It says on CNNSI that game 2 of the NLCS on Friday is scheduled for 4 pm…can this be right?!??

  110. NJ Says:

Jose Reyes would be the first contestant in the history of dancing with the starts to do a duet on his own.

  111. Jamie Says:

Man, I hope not but it wouldn’t surprise me if it were at 4pm. The ALCS would likely be at 8 pm or something then.

  112. Manny Says:

I’m so excited about this series! I didn’t think that LA would sweep the Cubs, and we gotta be careful with this hot team. At the same time, I kinda like the fact that we lost a game and came back to win the NLDS. I liked the team’s attitude today and how they reacted right after an ugly playoff loss.

Oh… and Game 2, Myers at bat… you all know what’s gonna happen. :) I may lose my voice!

    PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!!

  113. Jamie Says:

Mike, the MLB website still has “TBD” for the times on all games at this point, as do ESPN.com and CNNSI.com from what I can tell. Where on CNNSI does it say 4pm?

  114. SJ Mike Says:

Our boy Jayson Stark is betting against us this series. The expert picks are already up.

    http://sports-ak.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2008/series?series=ladphi

  115. Jamie Says:

The ESPN link is interesting. All except one think it’s going to come down to Game 7. I guess I can see why — on paper this is a very good and very even matchup, so we could be in for a real treat. The treat will only be good if the Phils prevail, and Neyer predicts, as it will be a flaming bag of dog poo if we don’t.

  116. Mike W. Says:

Here is the CNNSI schedule. As you can see, it says Friday is at 4 (which would piss me off, as I am going to this one).

    http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/baseball/mlb/10/01/playoff.schedule/index.html?eref=T1

I am hoping that b/c mlb.com has nothing listed yet, there is no way that cnnsi can be 100% accurate.

  117. Manny Says:

It wouldn’t make a lot of sense to schedule it at 4pm, because you’d lose substantial TV audience…especially since it will be at 1pm on a weekday in LA. It would make much more sense to put this game at 9pm ET (6pm PT) and the ALCS at 6pm (since it will probably be between East coast teams)

  118. SJ Mike Says:

I really think the NLCS schedule will be dependent on who is in the ALCS, because it is very likely they’ll try to accomodate the games for the different time zones.

  119. Mike W. Says:

i agree. but right now it is looking like the only non-east coast team in the final 4 will be the dodgers.

  120. SJ Mike Says:

Man, how bad has Vlad been for LAA this postseason?

  121. Mike W. Says:

I dont remember NLCS/ALCS games ever being during the day (within recent years I mean) if it’s on a week day. Can anyone ever recall a NLCS or ALCS game being played while people are still at work? I really can’t at all.

  122. Dave Says:

I called this before the game, i said in the thread from last night that Blanton would pitch well and someone in the middle of the order (Pat The Bat) would come up with a clutch win…so to everyone who was giving up and everyone who said they were watching the eagles, jimmy was dead on about you…to all the die hards like me, LETS GET THE DODGERS!
