Who care’s because everyday I from now to April I get to do my best Red Sox fan impersonation “na na screw you New York, we’re the Champions” On a serious note we should all embrace this championship in a city full of tension between the cops and citizens, the racial tensions, economic strains and all the violence we all came together in unity to become one color (red) high fiving each other all the way down Broad street. This was truly a special moment for everybody I can’t believe I walked from 15th and Market st all the way to CBP, I think walking with a crowed in the hundreds of thousands made it a lot easier. I had the best angle at city hall standing on a no right turn sign on a pole at 15th and Market. We Win!!!!

The fact Jimmy pokes fun at the Mets at a Victory parade is bush league. I know its been a long time for a championship but come on, we need to act like champions not like a bunch of brats who don’t kknow how to deal with winning. Like MikeMike says, it’s not like they shouldn’t have made the Santana deal, the guy is that good, it was the smaller deals that killed them. We should just act like champions of the league, not just champions over the Mets.

The Santana deal for the mets was great for them. What I believe hurt them was the little deals they made getting a lot of older hurt players like Castillo,Alou,and others, we won with starters who gave you six or seven innings then a shut down bullpen,a lot of starters if you notice the second time around in a game start to get hit, we at that point are in the fourth or fifth inning .that]s when we hope he can get to the sixth inning and then it’s Durbin, Romero,Madson, LIDGE LIGHTS OUT. you need a top starter but a lot of teams can’t afford two or three Santana ,so you need shut down guys most of the time it’s give me your best for one inning. The guaranteed contracts in the case of pitchers is a killer they get hurt too much, Gordon, martinez, wood , harden, there are so many example, look at us we had 14 million dollars in two pitchers who gave us nothing Gordon Eaton .

Man oh man was today one of the best days I’ve ever had. Walking from Broad & Spruce to South St. for a 6 pack and then walking to CBP and back to go to work never felt so good. I’m tired as shit right now lol.

Drinking in front of the police in broad day in public while not being in Vegas was great also lol…

Miner, Mets fans have been throwing a hissy fit at Metsblog all day over that.

Rollins made a great point though. Look at all the sexy moves other teams made in the offseason or midseason. The Mets got Santana. The Angels got Texiera. Cubs with Harden. Brewers with Sabathia.

The Phils made moves to complete the rest of the team. They weren’t blockbuster moves and it became fodder for the media to take jabs saying how the Phillies have no pitching beyond Cole Hamels. So Jamie Moyer winning 16 games was nothing? Myers have a career year post All Star Break.

And the Phillies won the World Series based off of their pitching. They went 11-3 in the postseason. That’s an amazing record.

Blockbuster moves don’t win championships. The Spankees have been a prime example and learning the hard way the past 8 years.

Jimmy Rollins deserves to poke fun at the Mets….Face it;My Amazins deserve to be where they are as the Phillies deserve to be where they are….The Phils are the champs and the Amazins arent.We all know there is no I in team.I liked the Santana deal,but it wasn’t Santana who killed the Mets,it was a team effort.The greatest part of baseball has started….the Hot stove league.Phils better stop the partying now because you know everyone,and I mean everyone (Esp in the NL East) is going to want to gun down the champs in 2009 oh and BTW,…..World FVCKING Champs
