Good call with Prince, Jacobs is 28 years old and before this year, his best season was 20 HR and 77 RBI, his OBP% is very low.

Hanley Ramirez is a beast! Uggla avgs 30HR and 90 RBIs his 3 years in the league.. how bout that! He's also 28 years old though.

Cantu had a real nice season, and he's only 26.. lets see him stay healthy.

In his 2 full seasons, Kouzmanoff is closer to 20 HR, 80RBIs, which is still awesome, but he's 27, older than Adrain GOnzalez on the Padres, who is very underrated.

Every year that Zimmerman is heathy, he'll be at 20+ HR, and 90+ RBI

Mark Reynolds is there, but hit .239, and struck out MORE than Howard..Young avgs about 27 HR, 75 RBI, but he's only 25 years old, so he'll get better for a few years still

McClouth had a great year, but he's 27 and that was his first good year.

Votto will be 25 this season, and should easily jump from 24 to 30+ HRs

I think Loney is awesome, but I don't know he'll ever hit 30 HRs, but he's a .300 hitter so they dont need him to kill HRs too.

LaRoche avgs about 25 HRs, 85 RBIs, but he's almost 30 yeras old...

you got a bunch on that list though, made me think a lot..but I guess we both see how 30HR and 85RBIs isn't a common thing at all, but sometimes, like with Loney, you'd rather just have a better hitter..???

still, the phillies should probably counter this with a starter better than moyer and LF with rbi produciton...too bad ibanez is 35 and left-handed.

look...Burnett Vazquez Hudson Jurrgens Campillo..thats a damn solid rotation actually...not bad...their pen still sucks though

Where is the Dunn info coming from? im not seein it...theyll sign burnett soon...burnett vazquez and dunn make them contenders for the division, yes, but they were terrible last year...they are NOT the favorites. the phillies still are....

they need to play LF and SP. i think they need to spend a but more to get a better SP than moyer, but moyers fine if you spend the rest of the money on LF and bullpen...i like that amaro openly admits that pitching is mostly what he cares about. thats correct, because the other gms didnt always admit that as openly in the past.

i read theyre not scared off of juan cruz..interesting...but i think theyre just floating that to leverage madson, even though boras has all the leverage there...

I thought the question from Don was how many guys at 25 hit around 30 homers with around 85 rbis. I thought I answered it. Did they sign Adam Dunn, too? Uggh.

Does anybody know how to find team salary. I just saw the braves, who don't have a big market. are going after both burnett and dunn. how can they add that much salary. There fan base isn't strong. you are talking about in the three players about 48 million dollars. where is the money coming from. I am figuring burnett 16 dunn 16 and valquez 16.

My point being this:

Projected stats for 2009

Burrell 30 85 .260

Jenkins 20 58 .260
Dobbs 12 44 .280

So whats the big deal? Oh, we save $10m with the platoon? Nevermind.

Well Don, staying in the NL, off the top of my head: Those guys from the Marlins...4 of them, Jacobs, Cantu, Uggla, Ramirez. Fielder, Zimmerman, Gonzalez and Kevin Kouzmanoff, Chris Young, Mark reynolds, James Loney will get there this year, LaRouche, McClouth, Braun, Wright and that guy Votto.

Only 17. In the NL. And I left a lot of late 20's guys out.
