Rosenthal: Could Wolf Return To Phils?

Posted by Tim Malcolm, Mon, December 08, 2008 02:07 PM

Ken Rosenthal is reporting Randy Wolf is open to playing for all teams. Rosenthal then questioned if a return to the Phillies was in order for Wolf, if the Phils couldn’t re-sign Jamie Moyer.

It’s a slow day if you’re covering the Phillies.

  1. Geoff Says:

NO! Just, no. No way. Not again. Even Garland would be better.

  2. MP Says:

I second this. NO, NO, NO.

Now that we are a two-time WS winner, we can do better than Randy Wolf!

  3. Georgie Says:

I third it!! It always seemed to me that Wolf would let CBP get into his head at times, don’t bring him back. As MP said, we just won the WS, let’s not start a Wolf/Abreau redux.

  4. PhillyFriar Says:

I’d prefer the Phils retain Moyer, but if negotiations completely break down, I’d rather have Wolf on a 2-year deal (which I think he would do) than someone like Garland, Perez, or Looper on a 3- or 4-year deal. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that choice though, or we’ll have had a disappointing offseason.

  5. Manny Says:

    HELL NO.

  6. Griffin Says:

I’d rather have Wolf than Garland. I’d rather have Moyer than Wolf. I’d rather have Lowe than Moyer.

  7. mike mike Says:

wolf would set the record for homeruns allowed

  8. OZ Says:

OMG! YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES, YES…..THIS WOULD BE GREAT.

    {please read with much sarcasm}

  9. KM Says:

NO! I can’t deal with his flyball pitching in this bandbox. Give me Lowe, and then go cheap the rest of the way – pitching wins.

  10. No Wolf Says:

Randy Wolf?! Oh please, this is the guy who didn’t want to play here! How quickly some forget. He wanted to go home and play out west ( shedding tear)

He was well liked here, but screwed us over. He ended up taking way less pay to play near home, now all of a sudden he wants to play on WS contending team.?! hahaha typical.

Sorry, but a guy who has had arm surgery and screwed us over isn’t in this organization’s or FANS best interest.

This time…we get the last laugh Wolf, and i vote NO! You had your shot and blew it.
