It’s hard to have pitty for a guy who makes $475K. I have a feeling that Choooch will have a good season this year – same defensively but hopefully he will hit around 0.275 with some power.

I am pysched – I my wife bought me season tickets today! 3rd base side Section 135.

Just the way it goes, Ruiz is hurt by his age because he’s not going to break the bank in arbitration that will probably see him non-tendered towards the end of his arb years and he’s not going to hit the bank as a free agent.

The reality is defensive catchers don’t rake in the big bucks but they can hang around and make a nice career out of their skill. In reaility at this point Chooch is a glorified back-up, he handles the staff well but his bat hurts his value in the era of the Mauer’s and McCann’s and he isn’t in the ranks of the Molina’s yet.

Its just not right. Where is his arbitration or super agent? When we struggled with our RISP difficulties, it was Chooch that came through for us.

Someone needs to kick the Phillies ownership in the ding ding because they don’t appreciate Ruiz enough.

saved a lot of Lidges pitches,hidden hero,playing for peanuts.I get mad at Phillies for not throwing the guy a bone,they know nobody in b/ball will take him-exploting the catcher.Last yr F garcia pitcher said his arm was ok they signed him for a couple of mil without examination [2yr]ago cant figure front office reasoning.Adam Eaton’s signing 2 yrs ago had me baffled-penny wise dollar foolish
