Tommy Hanson is the real deal... glad we won't see him in this series.

Chipper Jones said a long time ago that Hanson should be in their rotation.. and Chipper is one of the best hitters in the game.. so he knows whats poppin.

Is Carrasco a definite to start on Thursday?

The thing with Moyer is that he USUALLY does a nice job of keeping you in the game ... I said last week that I trusted Moyer a lot more than Bastardo .. who CLEARLY is not a big league starting pitcher ... maybe somewhere down the line he will be?

Park in the bullpen is a great thing.. and it was a signing that really got bashed when it happened, but its working out so far..

Lets keep this momentum going.. Try to continue our solid-play in Atlanta

man I love reading the game day post the day after.
Take Lidge out, no confidence in Lidge to close the game out going into the 9th. And of the course Geoff, and the Dipster's hate feast against Moyer. Moyer has had worse starts and also has had a lot better starts. The thing is he never gets his head out of the game. If he gives up one run or 6 he can go the next inning or two and shut a team down. Yea he gave up two HRs to the same guy, but then came back and struck him out in a key situation.
IMO Lidge looked better he got the slider over for strikes more often, and he spotted his fastball a bit better, the one guy he walked, he throw a fastball on the inside of the plate that was called strike all night until he throw that pitch. So he walked a guy that he really should have gotten the called third strike.
Even if he did not pick that guy of second, and he threw the same pitch the last out could have been a DP anyway.
good job phils now lets destroy the Braves, 3 -5 runs a game should be able to beat this braves team IMO
I like Amanda too, I think she is HOT

I know no one is left I just watched the game on dvr, didn't see a thing about it all day at work.
I know alot of you hate Jamie because he is not a great pitcher, but you can not have 5 great pitchers. I am getting tired of saying it but he usually keeps this team in games, if the two other starters can consistanly go 7 or 8, and two can ocasionaly (sp) can go that far then Jamie is a really good # 5 he gave up a couple of dingers early but settled down enough to keep them in the game. And what pitcher out there does not pitch better with a lead, knowing his team will score him some runs. The pen was great hopefully a sign of things to come, Madson to Lidge for a close.
Madson should have been out of the 8th no problem, but it was nice to see him pick up Bruntlett like that.
As for Lidge a bunt single a strike out that was not called. But settled down and got the outs he needed, IMO he looked the best he has all year

When the Phils were down 4-1 in the 3rd inning, I didn't see this a win coming. Props to them and now it's onto Atlanta where the Phillies won't see two of the hottest pitchers in the league, Javy Vasquez and Tommy Hanson.
