Video: Tim On SNY’s ‘Pre Game Live’

Posted by Tim Malcolm, Fri, June 12, 2009 02:34 PM

Tim was on SNY’s “Mets Pre Game Live” to talk about Phillies fans’ mentality in regards to the Mets and the National League East division race.

Thanks again to Matt Cerrone, SNY and MetsBlog.

Not bad Tim. Can’t say I approve of your shirt though. :)

  2. Dan Says:

Hey you shouldn’t have said that about taking the division if we’re 10+ back near the end, I believe in jinxing! :P

  3. 4daysrest.com Says:

Absolutely awesome, Tim. I’m so glad you took a cheap shot at this guy. He’s such an unbelievable homer with a false sense of reality. I hope we can carry the momentum from this Mets series win back home against the Red Sox.

  4. Diane Says:

That’s awesome, Tim! Congratulations on scoring that interview. Way to represent!!

  5. EastFallowfield Says:

Hope you’ll give your friend Matt some grief for whining about the Phils dugout reaction to the Ibanez HR last night.

Geez, for a fanbase that points fingers at the ‘celebration police’ to get upset at what is out of sight of most of the people most of the time is a little pathetic.

  6. Chris Says:

    Stop saying “you know,”

  7. Don M Says:

Never met either of them.. but I think I like Matt more than … DAVE (change camera) BERG (back to original camera for dramatic effect)…

that was pretty cool.. hopefully they’ll get you in studio or something for he series in August..

Make sure you return the favor and give them some time here too.. play that politician game

  8. Don M Says:

or Ted Berg ? whatever his name is

  9. Griffin Says:

Matt Cerrone bragged about not watching a single pitch of the World Series last year. How can someone run a baseball blog and not watch the World Series?

Also, EastFallowfield is right, Cerrone was whining about the Phillies laughing in the dugout after the Ibanez home run. What were they supposed to do, cry?

  10. Don M Says:

sucks for him then, he missed a bunch of really good baseball games.

Every one except Game 4 was close

  11. Albert Says:

Said it before and I’ll say it again.

    Cerrone = tool

  12. Sean A Says:

Just noticed. Eyre has just been placed on the 15 day DL (strained left calf) and Kendrick has been recalled

  13. Griffin Says:

    Kendrick? Oh no.

  14. Eli Says:

You sounded like a fan and not the Head Blogger. Needs improvement ,but Matt was like that in the beginning.

  15. Tim Malcolm Says:

How’s a Head Blogger supposed to sound, Eli?

  16. Eli Says:

Well all im saying is you were saying earlier how you want to do what Matt does ,but even more. You seem like you enjoy the fact that you were on tv, so you would want to do it more I assume. It was not really the fact that you did not sound like a Head Blogger ,but like a fan. Kinda like Citi Talk,on Daily News Live on SNY,or a caller answering a question on the radio. You just did not flow on t.v.
(due to the first time)I did not mean to get you upset. Matt used to sound like that in the beginning as well. It has to do with experience.

  17. Mom Says:

Stop saying “you know”. You and Matthew (brother) both do that and it drives me nuts! Remember, you have a degree in communications! Other than that it was great! Love you!

  18. Brian Michael Says:

Eli, I agree, but it seemed like Tim was the victim of circumstance….the fact that he was on a (lame-o) segment about fan reactions.

I find it a bit insulting (and Cerrone should too) that they should relegate a very good blogger to exclusively covering the fan perspective. I mean fans are fans and there are millions of them, they all have different perspectives as we’ve come to know by reading all of the comments on the site here. I mean the Matt’s first question was so irrelevant, I could only see Tim answering it the way he did. So I applaud Tim for filling his role, but I blame SNY for putting out a bad product.

We’ll have more chances to impress (mom) once we get Tim his own show. It’s in the works….

  19. Jack Says:

Jeeze you sure did look spiffy in that aqua polo. Date me!
