Werth? How can we justify Werth going over Howard?

Anybody notice the payroll list on the right? Myers @ $12 mill? Thievery!!…. whether he’s hurt or 100%…. it’s absolute thievery. He’s worth about $5 mill, MAX.

I disagree with Pujols doing the HR derby on Monday night. Not that I’m a St. Louis fan of course, but Albert has a legit shot at the Triple Crown. Doing the HR Derby may put a kink in is MVP shot and triple cornw chances. It’s be cool to see someone who is CLEAN and legit actually accomplish that feat in my lifetime.

Why Bruce, because he doesn’t have that great of a BA? Werth has been better than Howard this year. He has a solid slg% and obp leading to a good OPS+. He also plays a more premium defensive position and plays it incredible. He also has tons of speed and swipes bags. Howard has been a good defensive 1B this year and a mediocre offensive 1B. He should not have been in the ASG. I have no idea why he is. He’s not even the 4th best 1B in the NL.

Wow, you guys are all huge homers…Moyer sucks this year and Feliz is a slightly below average bat at a premium offensive position. Who cares if Charlie can take players, he shouldn’t take players that aren’t that good. If he wanted to take any of his own guys he shouldn’t have even taken Howard…he should have taken Werth.

Too bad they couldn’t find room to add at least one pitcher from the Phillies. Jamie Moyer would be a logical choice for the All Star Roster. He has been one of Phillies most consistent starters with quality starts and lead the team in wins (7). It would also be a tribute to Moyer’s long career and his accomplishments including 253 wins and counting.

I thought he’d take Feliz because he could, because Feliz is having one of his better seasons and because veterans like Feliz, who are generally underrated but have good first halves, often are rewarded with All-Star selections.

Who cares about Sandoval? Charlie’s under no obligation to him. Let the fans pick him if he’s so great. Feliz, on the other hand, is Charlie’s guy. Seemed like an easy choice to me.
