mikeB-nope. I say it again until i am blue in the face...he's not the type of pitcher who can still get away with 2 pitches. Actually, most mlb SP pitchers need a minium of 3. If he doesn't get that yakker down it might be a rough year for him. It looked a better in that Orioles game, but that could also have been the cold...the air's denser and that gives the ball more break. I think this should have been addressed in spring training but then again I'm not not suprised with Dubee at the staff helm. If he goes on the DL it should be to work on his curveball...actually Halladay was sent down to the minors at one point in his career to develop a change-up to complement his devastating sinker.

you know fellow Phillies fans I am always hearing about heart, but heart isn't always the issue in these dark stretches we should be familiar with by now. There are 162 games, and you can pour as much heart into every game as you want but, it won't always save you from the Law of Averages....you can get nth well hit balls to the opposition and put your heart into every swing. That's why they play 162 games. You beat the Law of Averages during the rough patches by playing heads-up small ball and crafty coaching.
